I’m specifically referring to labeling being the top recruiter in the state a “major accomplishment”. We ain’t recruiting against the FSU of 15 years ago. In Mario’s 4 recruiting classes, Prison Mike has had one class finish inside the top 15 at #12, with two classes at #20 and the other at #19.

Meanwhile in that time Billy has had one class finish inside the top 13 which was last year at #7 while being an absolute disaster on the field and the trail (Rashada debacle). For a guy whose strongest attribute as a coach is recruiting, outperforming those two is far from a “major accomplishment”.

Matter of fact, I’d argue finishing behind the turds last year is a major disappointment. Especially after our season while losing top recruits to them at the close (whatever the reason why).
Meh Florida got lucky last year that several high ranking recruits were legacies but I do agree with you that Mario isn’t going against the urban gators or prime Jimbo at fsu.

Move on from recruiting and hope we do well this year.

Even if we do I don’t think we’ll ever have it good with recruiting like OSU or Georgia but we need to be the most talented in the ACC and on a down year 2nd or third.

We should be in the ACC championship every year.

Guidry really ****ed us man.

Last year was Mario’s chance. Best offense in school history with the number 1 overall pick. But Miami just so happened to have the worst defense in school history as well.
I think the talent is there this year to be a very good team. If we played better defense I personally don’t believe it’s hyperbole to last year’s team could’ve competed in the playoffs. Win the whole thing I don’t know. But they wouldn’t have been one and done.

I truly think this is it. If he can’t cash in now, it won’t happen. It’s easy to be doom and gloom rn, but get past ND and it should be easy to make the CFP. The issue for Miami & Mario based on the last two decades, we treat elementary addition like its Latin. It’s just a matter of when we **** on ourselves not if.

there is a way we can help fix this

I’d rather pay monthly for a VPN subscription to get around GA’s dumb *** laws to access nun **** than to that. At least I get some reward for doing that.

If you don't know D Money by now you should know this is all click bait to increase engagement. Cooper will be a Cane, and I'm sure Mario told D Money to get us all in our feelings to build anticipation/momentum. Check the Cantwell recruitment and you'll see the same pattern. I'm talking Miami in 5.

Lets be honest….if you could compete in the SEC, compete for championships, and play in front of 107,000 people every week, and still get the same NIL package - what would you pick? I promise you, the fan/stadium optics matter, and so does being a playoff contender.

I haven't read the preceding 21 pages, but I think it's fairly obvious what's going on. The Southeast Conference basically got together and decided that they were going to stop Mario and each are taking one of our recruits to sway. They are over spending on that Miami target. It's obvious to me. We better win a bunch of games this fall or we will be last seasons USC
He is a threat to the southeast conference superiority of getting all the top recruits, particularly in the area and splitting them amongst themselves
I actually think you may be on to something.

Kirby can coach elite defense and recruit top 5 classes. Sark can coach an offense and recruit top. Mario can coach an oline and recruit top 5 once in awhile.

Wario was always a bum and an overrated recruiter. We should have hired Lasleee
Somebody you know has been released from purgatory.

👀

And yup, Lashlee took Garin Justice, Rob Likens, Brashard Smith, Elijah Roberts and SMU to the ACCCG in year one in the conference.
