The Canes suffered a brutal loss last week but recruiting moves forward full speed. Here is the latest:

- Miami continues to feel good about where it sits with WR Jeremiah Smith (Chaminade), despite last week's loss and even if WR Chance Robinson (STA) makes the rumored flip to OSU.

- The staff is also making significant progress with OSU RB commit Jordan Lyle (STA). If Lyle flips to Miami, it does not necessarily mean anything in terms of the recruitments of either RB Kevin Riley (Tuscaloosa) or RB Chris Wheatley-Humphrey (South Broward).

- The only silver lining from this weekend was the commitment of elite WR Ny Carr (Moultrie, GA). Miami is also interested in his teammate, FSU commit TE Landen Thomas. Nothing imminent there but it is a situation to monitor.

- There is going to need to be some roster management at the end of the season. Miami expects to be a major player in the Portal this offseason with premium talent. Positions of need include QB, DT and CB.

- I like where Miami sits right now for CB Zavier Mincey (Daytona Beach Mainland). Miami also likes its position for DT LJ McCray (Daytona Beach Mainland), although that will be an in-state battle.

- LB Adarius Hayes (Largo) had a very good visit to Miami and we are continuing to recruit him hard. Ongoing battle there.

- OT Markel Bell (JUCO) and DE Cole McConathy (Mobile) remain high priorities and Miami expects them to visit this season.

Maye just thrashing all of these ranked teams for a whopping 8 TDs…oh wait they haven’t played anyone ranked that’s right…

UNC is not some juggernaut and Maye has been alright. They squeaked victories against us last 2 times. TVD has played pretty well v Chizik's defense in both. Rooster fumbled the game away last time.

Im not conerned about their players, im concerned about the mentality of ours.

They don’t need to be juggernauts. The last 5 UNC teams we played weren’t either and look how that turned out

Other than the year Williams and Carter spanked that ***, the games are generally close

Comes down to mentality. The critical plays that matter, we been on the wrong end of them. Rooster fumblitist last season the latest. 2019, 4th and 17 etc

Poor excuse. Our TEs run pass routes. Thry are basically decoys.

Don't act like Cam can't catch. He's caught every ball thrown to him. Riley was only targeted twice against GT and caught 1 for a TD.

As I said previously, GT ignored our TEs in the passing game and was able to make two places with help including an interception.

Teams are scheming against our lack of passes to TEs.

He has a propensity to really want it to throw it to his guy on that play, whoever that guy is.

When he has throwing it to the TEs they made 10 yard or more plays.

TVD like his deep post and sideline balls, that's what he's good at. Intermediate not so much outside of field outs, even comeback routes he throws to the body rather then outside shoulder.
We gotta live with it for now mon ami!

I think it's avout TVD not getting thru his progressions as the TEs are likely the 3rd or 4th option.

The thing is that teams (GT) are ignoring the TEs on passing routes because we don't throw to them.

I think it depends how much miami values them. The way the NFL treats RB if you aren't good enough to make it after 4 years you probably need to go to whatever college is going to give you the best NIL deal and collect while you can.

I totally disagree. Why would a safety try to jump a route? There's no help if he misses.

Time and distance. Nothing should get behind the safety with no time left on the clock. Once the QB was flushed from the pocket, there was no time for another play. Just keep the receivers out of the endzone and game over.

It was a lack of situational awareness, but it is the coaches fault because they should have taken a timeout and emphasized the situation.

Amen….That play (not the game obvly…Was on our all American safety)…It was **** poor

Honestly, a timeout should have been called by UM at some point before last 2-3 plays…Half of these kids were probably looking up in the stands trying to find their family to celebrate and couldn't even find their **** helmets, mouthguard, etc...

Call a timeout and review the situation and what matters.
