Exactly, you have no clue lol. Just because he may come in and be our top WR, doesn’t mean he’s getting anywhere close to the money of other WR1s like singleton, Noah Thomas, or even what X got for that matter
They’ve been questioned homie. We consistently bring in as many transfers as anyone in addition to our “elite” classes. That’s where we differ. You want to “let the you guys develop”. I don’t give a **** if they rot on the bench for 6 years. I just want to field the best team every August and idgaf where they come from or who gets their feelings hurt. Is Pena better than Toney and would you trust him more against ND? The answer is yes for me. But all moot, we will see soon enough. It’s their bed so they will live with the results and sleep in it either way.

I’m not too familiar with the new settlement that is being negotiated but is there something in there that says if you bring in a portal player and the younger guy outplays him that you are still required to play the portal player over them? Are coaches still allowed to give more run to those who earn it on the field?

HE’S A VOLUME RECEIVER WHO WILL NOT GET THE SAME VOLUME HERE! If he has a season similar to EVERY other season he’s had in his career (minus last yr) then what? What will you say then?? Cause I believe we can get 30-40 catches and 400yrds from a player that’s already on roster. &that’s the type of player he’s shown to be. Cool.
I am not against bringing in another WR, I’m just stating the facts with buddy vs how I see our offense playing this season. Hint: it ain’t dropping back 50/60 times a game either.

Why couldn't he get the same volume here? Beck is better than McCord, Dawson is better than Nixon, and our Oline is significantly better than theirs.
He's the number one WR in the portal at the moment, and would instantly be one of the best on our roster. Also, have you took a look at our roster? We only have only 7 scholarships (edit: 8 now with Carr coming back) Wrs lol. If we have 1-2 injuries, we're screwed
Maybe desperate is a strong word, but just from a numbers standpoint we have to add guys to that room. I was just saying that Pena value is higher than he would've been if he entered in the winter, which is due to the limited options in the portal at the moment
Did we have a number one receiver last year? my opinion thinks that was X. Pena walks right in and solidifies that.
Buddy dropped back for nearly 150 more passing attempts than in Becks 23’ season. And they played less games! Cmon dawg! (in my Boosie voice). That is NOT happening here with the current staff nor would I want those type of splits as the roster is currently constructed.
Also, I gave buddy (Pena) more credit than deserved..2/300 yards and a few catches is more than possible with current WRs. That was comparable to his best season before last yr. And that’s the player we will be getting. We always need more bodies till they perform..like..chalk outlines.

How about you look at our passing attempts with Cam Ward, and even 2023 lol. It wasn’t as much as Syracuse, I will give you that. However, Beck is going to air it out way more in this offense than at Georgia. Mike Bobo Schemes is significantly different than Dawsons and Nixons. Nice try though
@DMoney has me shook with all his budget talk. Pena would be a great add. But I want a big & (especially) fast WR first and foremost. If we can get both, plus the safeties plus the playoff caliber DT and (M)LB, it would be glorious. If we're capping budget, then something's gotta give, and I want that WR1, S1, DT1, (M)LB1 and S3 ahead of Pena.
McCord had more than 100 attempts than cam. McCord threw the ball 592 times. Dude had almost 600 attempts. He was 1st in cfb by far. Cam had 454 attempts which was 11th.
