Spring Practice #1 Updates (Monday, March 4)

Comments (531)

they said Emory was looking healthy. and he was as accurate today as anybody, including cam ward, and they also noted his arm strength look very good. ... you need to take down the video, because I'm not sure those comments are allowed on CIS.
Notice there we're no reports on how JB looked. We have cats in here saying Emory should RS. LOL

Edited for brain malfunction. LOL

Remember when 11 months ago Mario couldn’t put a QB room together?

what a time to be alive GIF by The Bachelorette
Mario still doesn't have a room filled with 5 star talent ala oregon osu and Texas but this is probably the best he has done in his career putting it together thru the portal. We need to be able to land the elite h.s. qb's too. You aren't going to be able to get top transfer qbs every yr.

The way this offense looks will go along way in telling how successful Mario will be with respect to qb recruiting moving forward. Screens and inside zone handoffs aren't enticing elite kids to come here. Put some real concepts on tape.

Personally I don't think jaccurri will ever get to where we want him to be(in the time frame we'd need him to be)where he won't be a liability throwing the ball. Sucks he resists packages we can utilize his athleticism cause that's where he's elite. But I don't want some gimmick starting at qb.
Yup. He needs to go to a team more suited for his style. He will never start here.

Comedy at its finest. True frosh leads the team to a win over Clemson. A bit wired vs your undefeated rival but has you within a score while mixing in some dimes and doing what’s needed with his legs.

First day of spring and guys are relegating a guy who’s one of the few who worked extra after day 1. All after snapping his arm in half 4 months ago picking up a needed first down.

Sorry to say @252cane but you and others won’t be able to wish your way to him being behind JB. Not going to happen.

I said he could be 3rd so that would mean he could end up ahead of jb. Either way he still is rs this year. And im not wishing anything I like the kid and I was defending taking him when many on this board didn’t think he deserved it. I’m just going by what I saw and he isn’t ready

He isn’t better than the 3 dudes in front of him. He was struggling to complete a pass when he played. He needs to rs and work on his game
Emory struggles to complete accurate passes..The future

Jacurri struggles to complete accurate passes..Future transfer lol

We should just let this play out because both haven’t shown enough to be considered a long term option

Was 5* Dante Moore ready as a FR?

If you watch football at all, you could tell the moment was not too big for Emory last year.. and that was against two of our most challenging opponents.

It wasn't pretty, but it was serviceable for a 17-year old.

If he gets to play against Bethune and Miami (OH) his numbers would look much better.

Your takes are awful. Post less for everyone's sake.
If I had said this about Cyrus Moss one year ago today your reaction would be the exact same. I can't help that you're a big homer.

There are always a few curve balls and casualties when it comes to roster management, and we're currently way over the limit of 85. Instinct tells me that Bryant could not quite hack it at LB and is a more natural fit at DE. But we've recruited DE better than any position since 2021 and someone like Bryant could find himself way down on the depth chart and decide to seek playing time elsewhere. The alternative would be that Bryant excels at DE and cracks the rotation but that's an uphill climb imo.

Spring has sprung…

1 practice in and a heated debate has formed about 2 QBs that if either play an important down this Fall, the season has gone horribly wrong…
