I think TVD and this offense should be perfectly fine matriculating the ball downfield 5-10 yards at a time. QB's have to learn how to do this to be uber successful at this level and the next. And then take 3-4 shots a game deep. But an efficient offense keeps our defense off the field, (very, very important) and wears teams down in the Florida heat. For this season with less proven talent at WR, and no proven talent on the d-line, I think a ball control offense makes a lot of sense. Even if it is boring to watch.
I would love for TVD and the offense to have this potential as he struggled when teams went two high last year. Would be a big step in his overall game. I’d love for us to be somewhere between the Ohio State wide open offense and the prodding Michigan offense

Dink and dunk heavy offense with an NFL QB with a cannon had me a little uneasy as well tbh.

Just learn from the Herbert situation...please?

After going through the "open the playbook later" crap with Richt and Enos what i see in the spring game is what i expect until proven otherwise.
What we saw in the Spring game should be enough to win the Coastal and make a competitive run in the ACC Championship.

Assuming the WRs catch the ball more consistently, Mallory is healthy all season, and the RB room also stays healthy and out of trouble.
Cannot wait to see all of our TEs and RBs dominate our opponents.

So you're saying Perry isn't going to be RB1? I'm starting to think Mario's only showing us what he wants us to see.
lol ofcourse he not RB1 but lowkey he nice made plays every scrimmage he was getting reps over cody brown prolly when he knew it was time to hit the portal. The offense will be way more exciting they just didn't show much. The previous saturday i was very impressed with the designs the offense lit they *** up

A portion of the sequence in the first quarter of the video (right around 1st Parrish TD) repeated (plays twice). Terrific video... learned a lot!

I know what you mean, but old foggies like me who are a bit slow, he’s good. I watch/listen to this guy on YouTube frequently.

I feel you're pain brother but iv checked out a couple practices and the closed scrimmages he deff was holding back but the offense is still growing on me

I like the detailed explanations. He’s explaining things I never would have seen not being an x and o guy myself. He explains what each player does, then plays it multiple times so we can see exactly what’s happening. Best breakdowns on the YouTube’s in my opinion. Don’t change @Stevo365
Thank you bro for the support and tuning in!

Great breakdown @Stevo365

Man, so much PTSD around these parts.

I am biased towards Miami spreading teams out as much as possible. Get our guys surrounded by green. Lashlee was good about that, but he was allergic to some of these formations and getting RBs involved in the passing game. Gattis is not. It's all a trade off. I see a lot of variations and concepts to scheme guys open.

My hope is he sees what TVD does well and builds that into his offensive philosophy. He'd be a fool not to, and by all accounts he is not a fool. I'll be optimistic. FWIW, their message to Jacurri is that things will be wide open.

NFL QB throwing to weak receiving group should mean dink and dunk until someone steps up.

Perry will be our secret weapon. I kinda hope it's running back by committee. We can mix it up a few different ways. Pound one play Chaney or Franklin and make defenses chase Parrish or Knighton the next. Or Makenzie chase our speed guys first half and then wear them out with the big boys down the stretch or vice versa. Whatever the case, with strong execution this Stapleton backs should be able to carve defenses up pretty good.

One of my few concerns with the O. I don't expect us to be operating on all cylinders early on, but man it's going to be hard to stomach if our O is average, at best. The last two seasons, while not perfect, at least showed we could score points. To take a step back would be very, very hard to stomach

I feel like it’ll be more tight ends and running backs with the occasional wr busting a long one rather than relying on only wr with nothing else to fall back on like last year. We shall see. Tvd at the helm has me thinking positively.

While I agree with you, we do open with Bethune-Cookman and Southern Miss, so we might be relatively conservative for both of those games.

But I expect a fully armed and operational Death Star by Game 3.
Get up early on them in games one and two then rest your starters for the showdown in week 3.

I've got no problems with that. Get Garcia and Brown some reps in case (god forbid) TVD gets hurt in the aTm game.

Also, it would be nice to find someone with at least a semblance of Rambo type impact in the portal. Smith may end up being that guy, but you don’t want to take the chance by not having someone else to push everyone else.
