Unfortunately I think the dropping of Denver Kirkland is a big middle finger by our staff to Ice and his kids that ****ed us around this year. They are supposed to be a friendly school and make our lives easy. Instead, we have to deal with the BS. That means 6 as well. I think he is gone.

the implications this has on So Fla seemingly too deep to repair in a short amount of time

Manny's blog suggests Ice told UM Kirkland would commit, but face to face Kirkland said only we were in top 3.

Even if Kirkland won't make it in for grades, keep recruiting him and let him sign with Miami. What's the worst that can happen? At least we get good press and it helps with 6. I don't see any benefit to drop a kid a week out from signing day. There's not enough time to get on another quality OL at this point.

You drop him because it is the right thing to do. You don't lie to a kid and end up fcking his chances up to play for other programs. That's a dck move. I applaud our coaching staff for being honest with him if that has actually happened.

OMG!!! How could this staff mess things up like that, they are acting like Randy Shannon. Totally incompetent

1. it was probably out of the staff's hands and they tried everything they could to get the kid in a top 40 academic school and couldn't
2. blandy was long done recruiting by now. "whats an in home visit?"

Don't make excuses for the staff. You can't set your self up for a huge NSD and not pull through. If they don't reel in Thomas and a big DT, then this class is a massive failure. You start making excuses and you have a coach that stays 2 years longer then he should of. I'm not saying to fire Golden, but this is a one time failure. It can't happen again, if it happens this year.

its not an excuse, its how recruiting works. does it make AG look bad? no question but we don't know all the facts. how do we not know that Al has been fighting to get kirkland in for the last 3 months and did the honorable thing by not signing him the making him go to prep? i doubt AG is that stupid with all the right decisions he has made so far especially with the ramifications on the line

y'all acting like miami pulling one scholarship from one kid is gonna turn the entirety of south florida against the school are absolutely insane

"Don't come to us in the end and say you're going in another direction because of a defensive lineman."

??????

WHO IS THE DL??????

Could this have been a package deal with Thomas and that was the only reason Kirkland had an offer? Why would the staff's feeling on Thomas affect Kirkland?

Exactly. All of the sudden this is a disaster in the making

lol to all of the homers on here expecting us to get everyone and just "waiting to see the faces and posts of fsu fans when we get everyone in SoFla"...seems like the things may be coming to light.

Considering sanctions and no current ranking Miami will still have a good class, not a great class but a solid good class...Collins and a stud DT are a must though and will def. sting missing on one or both.

I do not buy the dropping of Kirkland. No way they jeopardize losing 6 over that.

I'm calling bs on what ice harris is saying. We're waiting on a number of kids to commit and for some unknown reason we just decide to pull this kids scholarship. Makes no sense at all. I'm just guessing but if i was a betting man i'd say something else went down to cause this. The story of a numbers issue just doesn't make any sense.

You must not understand the dynamics of inner city coaching and how ALL these guys have coached together, regardless of rivalries these guys all know eachother. COACH ICE was like an ambassador for the U. Just wait til somebody put a mic in Luke face, laff. Ice is a miami guy, if he said it was a done deal, its done. Go check the history with BTW guys, they do the same play from the playbook every year, play the game wait til signing day, announce for the U. Harris jr slipped one time and said they do it to get as many coaches thru the door to get some other players shine, These coaches all about getting as many kids into college. You cant do something like this last second and not expect a huge backlash. Every critic gonna be out wanting a piece.

This is what you call BAD BUSINESS. smh
