D there was supposedly some DT from ucf kn campus a few days ago. Do you think there’s a chance we may take one more or are we set? I think we’ve got a great top 4 just injury is a concern
I could see one for depth but not a big financial bullet unless there is a bad injury in spring.

Bud Elliot was just talking in the cover 3 podcast about his time at the College Symposium. Spoke with a ton of Game across college football. He brought up transfer portal players that was a consensus where Game wish they could have gotten.

On offense it was Singleton and Mateer (expected).
He said on Defense, it was David Blay that GMs really wish they could have gotten. FWIW

Interesting note on Blay.

Cover 3 podcast had a segment talking about which players came up the most when talking to college GMs in terms of their top wishlist guys.

On offense, Eric Singleton was the name Bud heard time and time again from GMs.

On defense, David Blay. He was surprised how many times GMs mentioned him.

Just listened to the Cover 3 pod with Bud Elliot.

He asked a few college talent folks who they wish they’d gotten in the transfer portal. Mr. Blay was one of the names most mentioned on defense.

I feel like we haven’t heard much since he’s been here for such a coveted player - is he dominating here?

So for the more X's and O's on defense guys. Would I be correct in assuming Blay is going to be more of a guy who tries to clog lanes, open up traffic, etc.

If that is the case lets not write the guy off as a bust when he only has a handful of tackles and 1-2 sacks. Because he likely still has done exactly what is expected. Not every DT is Vince Wilfork with 11 sacks

It is dependent on your role in the system Wilfork only had 16 sacks in hispro career
