Miami and coach Mario Cristobal have secured two commitments from the transfer portal in the past two days, including running back CharMar Brown from North Dakota State that made his pledge to Miami today.
After visiting Miami, Brown decided to pick the Hurricanes today instead of Nebraska and other schools like California, LSU, Indiana, Arkansas, and West Virginia.
Brown received second-team All-MVFC recognition and was selected for the MVFC All-Newcomer Team.
The star running back stands at 5-feet-11 and 214 pounds. In 16 games, Brown was the leading rusher for the Bison, racking up 1,181 rushing yards and scoring 15 rushing touchdowns. He played a key role in guiding the Bison to their 10th FCS national championship, where he rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown in the championship game against Montana State.
The championship running back has three years of eligibility remaining.
