Better an FSU fan who will play for us than a UM fan who won't

+1,000,000

I know Oh Snap just joking (atleast I hope) but I see what some say about us cane fans, we can never be happy. We our literally is dire need for DT and you wont take a kid cuz he grew up in tally and was a fan of the home team? Wonder how UGA fans feel about Sony, or Bama about Cooper, or the other hundreds of example, smh...

Thanks. Seemed pretty obvious Oh Snap was joking. I think the UM culture is so strong that it doesn't matter if a kid grew up hating the 'Canes, he will bleed Orange and Green by the time he is done. Culture is contagious and I think we have the best in the country and it all starts with the man in charge.

I thought he was too but saw all the comments afterwards and thought idk maybe he isn't but that's just fans not a big deal

Back to the topic I been seeing on twitter about the #1 JUCO player being a wr but does anybody know top JUCO dlineman that we're intrested in?

Devonte Lambert high 4 star SDE/DT from Georgia. UGA leads but Miami has a good shot with a visit.

Grew up an FSU fan. DO NOT WANT.

Plenty of the local kids who grew up as Canes fans are leaving. FSU has been recruiting very talented defensive athletes for a while now. If his heart is in Miami then I will welcome him with open arms. It's not exactly a position we can afford to be turning kids away at

Thanks man, were U able to get an update on/confirmation of his stats from last year?

Anybody?? FERburger had some stats for the kid which differed from what was available open source.

Miami’s never-ending search for defensive linemen took a surprising turn a couple weeks ago, when former 2012 FSU signee Dalvon Stuckey announced he was flipping to the ‘Canes. Stuckey, who played last season at Pearl River Community College in Mississippi, spoke about his transition from the high school to junior college level.

“When I first got there, it was kinda hard, but I got used to it and now I’m just coasting through. I think it helps me grow and mature because I don’t think I was ready mentally to go straight D-1. Junior College made me work harder and change my mind on some things,” said Stuckey.

Stuckey is ecstatic about the chance to play for Miami.

“It feels real good because at Miami I know I’ll have the opportunity to play a lot and go to the league. The Florida State fans don’t really like it, but it feels good.”

Growing up near Tallahassee, Stuckey’s family didn’t see the switch coming.

“My mom was kinda surprised because I grew up a Florida State fan, but she told me that my family will support me no matter what I do and it’s still in Florida so it’s not bad at all.”

The 6’4”, 300-lb defensive tackle broke down how Miami came into the picture for him.

“Miami had been recruiting me since my junior year, but I had been committed to Florida State since my sophomore year so Miami wasn’t really trying too hard with me. Coach Jethro (Franklin) came up to see me and he said all the right things and it made me think about my future so I decided to switch to the U.”

What else did Stuckey like about the ‘Canes?

“They have a lot of tradition and a lot of their players go on to have successful careers in the NFL.”

When asked to describe his ability, Stuckey was quick to the point.

“I’m a run-stopper. I stop anything that’s coming to me.”

This isn't the JUCO kid that recently committed that had the worst evaluation of any division 1 athlete I have ever read is it? Described as slow, lacking explosion and poor work ethic.

If so, should fit in well with what we already have.

As long as he signs with us I don't care who he liked growing up. Just like any other kid, I'll believe it when they sign on the dotted line.

But for now, Welcome to the U! :neonu:

If he could so help us G-d stop the run... I LOVE THIS!

How good is he?

I've heard mixed reviews (this is going off of his HS time inky). When he is good, he is one of the best DTs in the country. But when he is bad, he is terrible. Supposedly there is no middle ground. This is from one of the recruiting service guys.

Oh Snap is a clown.... how many UM fans ended up playing for FSU???

Patrick Robinson, Devonta Freeman, Xavier Rhodes, Rodney Smith..... oh and Keith Bryant :rollcanes:
