How can y’all say we turned the corner when we still have holes ave the oline??

over 28 games Malik's percentage completion is 53%
over 3 games Perry is at 66.7%

Malik % completion has actually dropped 2 points from 2017 to 2018.

bottom line: Malik is a 50% passer. that is what the stats say that he is and he will never get signficantly better than this.
Perry has too few games to get a good sample size but he has the upside

If you want to win something significant we need a QB that completes a lot more than 50 % . PERIOD!

Dorsey career I think was 58%

My add on is that It’s also a lot of getting the ball to the correct playmakers in a manner that allows them to get YAC

That was a smooth transition by Coach Richt. Hoping Kosi sticks and balls out. I think we have the defense to make a run at the ACC.

The oline issues are what they are for the rest of the season... luckily they could be much worse like what FSU is dealing with.

Our oline isn’t going to dominate any one this season but there are enough quality pieces to allow Perry to make throws and RBs to make plays for the most part.

We most definitely do. I'd say Richt saw that FSU sucks, VT sucks, GT sucks, and BC looked good until this weekend. Really nothing to lose. There shouldn't be a team on our schedule that can play with us regardless of who is at QB. Might as well groom the heir to the position since it was so close to start with.

Not gonna lie I was surprised when I saw Perry actually run out onto the field for that 3rd series

I know they showed him warming up but I was like ehhh this is just a mental thing Richt must be doing to Rosie to step up

We haven't officially turned the corner until the punter situation is dealt with.

TIFWIW but SMD had this to say "Also: Expect struggling punter Zach Feagles to be replaced on Thursday by backup Jack Spicer. At least it sounded that way this morning...." While she has no facts, sources, or real information, it at least sounded that way to her.

I was wrong about richt was pretty sure we was gon get Malik the whole season. Glad I was wrong tho
Richt and the rest of the staff and players want to win NOW! And the kid gives Miami the best opportunity! So perhaps, as I opined many moons ago, Richt ISN'T so STUBBORN after all. dUh.:youre-nuts:

I Am happy this is happening, I just want to see more. I want to see how Perry does when he takes some good hits and when he faces some adversity. #5 is our starter on the short week. Let's Roll!

The most serious bone bruise I can ever recall a player having. Rest him again and maybe just maybe he can play against FSU.

It's probably a patellar bone bruise. Those take longer to heal because of repetitive bone on bone contact. Rushing him back before he heals risks stress fracture, cartilage damage, osteoarthritis, etc.

Remember a bone bruise is really a fracture to one layer of bone tissue; the name is misleading.

Breaking Down Bone Contusions - In Street Clothes

Patellar bone contusions are even more complicated due to the biomechanics of the kneecap. The kneecap or patella is embedded within the tendon of the quadriceps muscle group. This somewhat unusual location enables the patella to increase the moment arm of the tendon, increasing the moment of torque and consequently improving range of motion. However, as it moves, the kneecap comes in contact with multiple areas of the knee joint, particularly the femur. This repetitive bone-on-bone contact can negatively impact healing and prolong the rehab process.
