I'm headed to Sunny Isles right now to meet with some Russians to see if they have any tapes on Kuligowski. You WILL retire here, Coach.

Last week, Miami announced that defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski would be elevated to Assistant Head Coach along with his position duties. CanesInSight has learned that multiple NFL teams had inquired about hiring Kuligowski over the past month, but the D-Line guru opted to stay in Miami.

A source said that both the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets were interested in bringing Kuligowski on staff, but that him and his family are extremely happy with the situation at Miami and moving forward.

Kuligowski helped transform Miami's defensive line into one of the best units in the country this past season and has made a program-wide impact in just over a year on staff.
Hope he's the next d cord

Me too. If Manny leaves for a HC gig in a few years, promote Kuligowski to DC while retaining him as DL coach, and then pair him with a Co-DC that he feels comfortable working with.

Most underrated value in the Richt hire. People love working for him.

True, but also coach Kool is very loyal and seems to not like to move too much. He stayed at Mizzou for years and you know teams from across the nation wanted him, much better and high profile programs

If we can keep our Big 3 together(Kool,MR,Diaz)for 5 years, we should have a shot at bringing down the SEC dynasty WE created.

Kool is our Emanuel Steward, churning out All-Americans' like Kronk did World Champions in the 80's

The differences a few years make......a few years ago a coach like this would be gone.....

Right. And where did he choose to move to? Not like his options were limited.

Back the ******* Brinks truck up to his house. Coach Kool Da GAWWWWWWWW!!!!

I know Kool is an excellent coach so he is and will always be in demand. I have a feeling that Kool is looking to accomplish something special here and knows he has a chance to do exactly that.

Glad that he stayed; hopefully he'll stay for quite awhile....

See a great coach doesn't always jump for a "better opportunity" in the pros. Coaches in The NFL get fired every year and he has totally stability and support here. Coach Kool is a smart man who thinks things through obviously.

On another note I really wished Rick would hire an experienced offensive coach. I do like that fact Rick calls the plays. It is just difficult to game plan alone. They will be breaking in a new QB this year not an easy task. I like Thomas Brown and Ron Dugans. Good coaches and even better human beings. But neither has experience designing a game plan for opposing defenses.

It doesn't even matter now it looks like it isn't going to happen. I hope I am wrong but we will see what happens.

He is in heaven of Dline coaches now that we have a proper DC. Miami is the birthplace of the DLine play he loves. Give this boy a huge raise and massive opt-out penalty. He is the best coach we have seen hired since Butch left and probably the only one who could have held his own on Butch's staff. Pay the man and hire his wife as University President in-waiting.

I was talking to Coach Richt's brother-in-law at the Glazier Coaching Clinic in Orlando last weekend and he was telling me about this. (NFL teams looking at Kool)

He said Kool ain't goin nowhere though. Said he loves coaching at Miami with Richt.

Now, Diaz, that's something to worry about.

People forget that NY has high taxes, high income taxes and is full of loony libs. No place for Coach Kool. N.O. is too swampy.

I don't mind if we lost Diaz, I just want to keep the same attacking style defense period.
