Beck parted with them. Kirby begged him 💯 I will say this we made several schools pay up to keep their roster in tact at DT and WR... we are all in on winning. If you're a canes fan go ahead and drink the juice. This **** not stopping now

This is something not being talked about. And in my opinion, was the main reason for the recent coordinated, media attack on UM and it's NIL regarding Cantwell.

Everyone has to pay now, but the traditional powerhouses have still been getting discounts. But that isn't happening if Miami is involved in a player. These schools are ****ed the **** off getting bags run up on them when Miami is in the mix. To secure that player, they need to pony up more. Leaving them with less in their piggy bank. If we secure the player, good stuff. If not, we made that other program pay way more than they anticipated.

I know Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams are happy Miami went after them recently. They got nice pay raises.

If I gotta go to work every day it’s gonna be for the most money and the best amenities

I’m sure if Al Qaeda started a recruiting service offering 500k salaries and conjugal visits they’d stay right where they are

In what professional recruitment is money not a factor? Who'd ever believe NIL doesn't play a part in any of these decisions?

Grown men with no kids fighting sleep on Christmas Eve with a glass of milk and a tray of cookies.

3. [on the subject of NIL]: "It’s just not the way Smart is going to play ball."

And this is a lie. We could go back in time to all the years when UGa was paying players under the table. Or we could just focus on the current system where Smart DOES play ball, but on his own terms, wherein he wants to pay less money in the early years, though he is more than happy to pay up on the back end. UGa demands a "discount" from what others are willing to pay, and then MIGHT pay more in the future...you know, if you play for it. So he wants to get the BENEFITS of the NIL era while only offering the old-fashioned pay-for-play compensation structure. Interesting.

Kirby (and Saban) are all in favor of paying players.

Just not when there is open market competition and everyone else can pay.

They only like 'insider trading'.

He’s talking about the state of Georgia 2027 players. We need to run up the price on them too

Fvck that guy! And here’s the funniest part, which these Talking Heads never seem to mention, Miami is a private school and we don’t disclose our numbers like public schools have to. So how about this A hole, just state on your stupid podcast that you’re just guessing here and you actually don’t know the numbers because you don’t! Lol
Exactly. Name the source, or shut the fudge up.

I put it in the locked thread but yea this is such a smart move from a smart kid from a great family. Take the $2.5 mil guaranteed, enjoy MIami lifestyle for a year or two while resting/possibly redshirting and transfer to an SEC school after to then get to enjoy that college atmosphere/NCAAF playoffs.

After that be a lock as a top 5 pick in 2029 NFL draft.

I’m not as high on Cantwell based on the limited footage I seen earlier… but don’t want to be a big Debbie Downer. I think it’s awesome for the program to get an arguable #1 recruit.

Cantwell and SJ will hopefully be nice building blocks. And hopefully can add Pickett in as well

In the industry I work in, my organization is both the best AND pays more. I discuss with candidates that we pay more than our competition, and we always will. We value what they do higher than anyone else in our industry, and guess what the outcome is? I have one of the best teams in the country.

Stop getting upset when someone says NIL is why they came, you poors. Start bragging about it.
Do you work for the Dodgers?
