Definitely does not fit the typical Mario build, he's an outlier. I guess so was Bain to a certain extent and he worked out great.
Can you expound on what the Mario build is? Also why is he an outlier?

Well there was one last year from BC. Abdul carter listed at a whopping 6'3. Jalen Green was 1st team AA in 2023 at 6'1

C'mon now... Jalen Green played at James Madison and didn't make the NFL.

It's not so much about height for height's sake, as much as height is a good proxy for arm length. Abdul Carter is 6'3.75" with a 79" wingspan (6'7") Micah Parsons is basically the same measurements. Donovan Ezeiruaku (BC) is listed at 6'2" and has the wingspan of a pterodactyl... an absurd 83 3/8". Greg Rousseau was 83 1/4 for reference.

Anyone have any insight on if Charles has the wingspan of a taller player?

Bruh not all these guys Abdul lol, you describing rare players. What’s the percentage of that actually happening. Thats almost like seeing a safety that’s 6’3 220 and everyone immediately saying Sean Taylor…..when we all know he’s 1 of 1.

Someone asked how many 6'2 become all americans. I gave the answer. Dont cry about it and try to move the goal post. Abdul carter arm length is 33. 247 says charles is 34. Ezeiruaka has 34.

Is Venice the reason the traditional powers in Sarasota and Bradenton (Southeast, Manatee, Riverview) fell off?

yes emphatically.

Venice has been the power out there...i think @Coach Macho was at Southeast or Manatee for awhile.

Venice runs that whole corridor

I answered the question that was asked. Not saying this guy will be an AA. But too many people ***** and complain cause somebody isnt NFL size as a senior in HS. How many kids has Miami passed on cause they didnt meet the "required" height/size and then go to another school and blow up. Complaining about a 6 foot 200 pound LB......that I can understand.

True

I think people are looking for the Dylan Stewart’s of the world. There are more on the board that we are after so I’m not worried about the take. As long as yearly we bringing in studs the rest transfer out regardless. I do look at size/talent for every specific spot as the staff should and they do as well. Pause

I like this one a lot. I know this can be said a lot, but if this kid was just a couple inches taller he’d be a Top 75 type kid. Really productive and elite athleticism. I like this take a lot, he probably won’t be an impact player early but if you can give him some deer antler spray by year 2 and 3 he can be a big time player.

Also yesterday said it’s a Big 3 battle. Aka a ******* layup at this point.
lol love the deer antlers reference.

I'll trust the evals because what else can I do, but it is hard to get excited about a sub 6'2' edge player.

How many of those become All-Americans?
Jerome mcdougle (sp) was around 6 2. How tall is Bain? We've had a handful at that height and production was awesome. I don't understand the narrative. Maybe he won't be a high draft pick, but to say it's a bad eval is wild. I also thought Trent Harris was around the same height. Hope this helps.

You responded to a question asking about sub 6'2 players with someone that was 6'3 and you are mentioning goal posts? This is fascinating.

Has size, can bend around the edge, was productive in a competitive hs classification, and comes from a school that consistently produces P5 talent so likely is coached well and won't come to us with bad habits.
