Miami Is Living Rent Free In Notre Dame Fans’ Heads

Looks like the Notre Dame fans are still salty from last year's 27-24 beating inside Hard Rock Stadium.

On Saturday afternoon, Notre Dame was hosting the Rice Owls when their student section decided to chant "F*** Miami," which echoed throughout the stadium. It's one of the most historic rivalries in college football, so of course it's going to get talk about all season long. However, this is just firing up the Hurricanes fans and players.

You maybe asking "why are they so mad?," Well, let me break it down for you: Last season, Miami beat the Fighting Irish inside Hard Rock Stadium, 27-24. At the end of the season to get into the College Football Playoffs, the committee had to decided on the Hurricanes or the Irish. Ultimately, the committee picked the Hurricanes and now it lives rent-free in their fanbase.

Miami will travel to South Bend this season on November 7th. We can only expect to hear more of these chants as the game gets closer. The Hurricanes are currently 2-0 on the season, defeating Stanford and FAMU. On the other hand, Notre Dame also sits at 2-0, downing Wisconsin and Rice.

You know what's great about that chant? Absolutely nothing. It technically disrespects their school as a whole, which the chant already is not very Catholic of them to say.

Well, there are teams that Canes fans love to hate. Taint is certainly one of them and I take great pleasure at their losses (like today against Texas). ND is another. They are a bunch of punks who live in the glory days of Knute Rockne and the Gipper. I hope UM demolishes them. Not just win in South Bend, but embarrass them and run up the score.

Honestly embarrassing for them. Funny thing is Miami was dominating them.but Mario prematurely went conservative which is the only reason the score was even close.

Only question I have is why even play them . Teams need to force them to join a conference to play games . They just made a new rule for them which pretty much guarantees them a playoff spot with there schedule.

Unless either Mensah is injured (pause) or we lose 3-4 starting OL, we will beat them on Nov. 7th. Not drinking the coolaid, but being totally serious - we will be sky high for that game and I think we beat them convincingly and probably shoot to #1. Unless IU goes undefeated before Nov. 7th and/or Texas defies the odds and goes undefeated before Nov. 7th (pretty unlikely), we will be #1 and on a bullet to The #1 seed in the CFP.
