Can't even blame Pope anymore. I blame the corching staph for continuing to trot him out there as if they're hoping things will suddenly change. Doing the same **** over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

I too had high hopes for both Pope and Wiggins when they signed. I had no idea they couldn’t catch. Really disappointed in their development. I really didn’t think Harley would be the best of the bunch.

On the through the smoke podcast they shared an insane stat. Of all players with at least 50 targets in the P5. Wiggins leads the country in drop rate. Pope is second

We just took a former #1 player off the trash heap and 3 star kid who hadn’t even played the position full time and they’re the top two kids at their position in the draft. Evals matter more than a staff “ruining” players. I get your worry but we didn’t “ruin” Mark Pope. He probably could’ve had a more productive career if he played in a different system early on but he wouldn’t have been Devonta Smith regardless.
