lockharts film was more impressive, one of the sickest ever, that ***** is flexible and athletic as ****, give the kid a chance

Lockharts film was impressive in a different way. Lockhart looked like a taller Marvin Harrison in his film which isn't a bad thing whatsoever, but this dude is a game breaker. Takes the top off the coverage and with S. Mo's arm strength, if you give Strong time enough to just outrun everyone, it's a wrap. Might have to put the Moss rule in effect with this dude

We don't know the severity of the ACL injury on Lockhart. Some ACL's the explosion comes back by the following season others its the year after. It was also hard to get a read on Lockhart's ability because his knowledge of the plays was limited.

I also like Malcolm a lot but I havent seen him practice post ankle dislocation. So Strong + Coley would be smart on Golden's part. If we can't get solid DL help to fix the defense the next best strategy is to be dominant on Offense.

I'm getting the sense, that they are probably going to shirt Lockhart this year if they bring in Coley and Strong just to start creating some separation. I feel like they should have done that anyway, but you could somewhat understand their plight, when you consider the receiver injuries we suffered.

whats strong 40 time? game breaker sounds good, bring him in and coley...lane next yr...upgrade never stops, competition never stops

On his film he was never caught from behind, and constantly blew by double teams lining up 10 yards off the ball.
So my answer is who cares what his 40 time is. If the defenders can't catch him does his time even matter?

I don't recall either Lockhart or Dorsett making any one miss all year. Dorsett can get vertical but is neither laterally explosive or very good with the ball in hand. All those screens to Dorsett where he was tackled by the 1st defender. I have every one of our games saved on DVR this year...(good looking out espn college game plan).

How can you recall what Lockhart did when he played in 1 game. Dude had 0 catches, how can he showcase making people miss?

legit speed, and while timed speed isnt tell all, is good to know...merry xmas jezey..looking forward to some good news on this one...easily his best offer if he is thinking about the nfl....i actually loved jenkins tape on o as well, kinda funny but watching dallas on special teams, i would say move him back to safety just to get jenkins on o...but that ship has sailed...unless dallas gets no touches at rb, he should be moved to safty...off topic but jenkins tape was nasty even if lessor comp

Siap but is he a 3 to play 2 ?

4 to play 3 I believe

In that last Strong thread we had Jaelen has said he is a 3 to play 3 and a 2013 kid unless he goes to an SEC school.

And I am right there with jerzeycane with this kid. He is a beast. It's a legit JUCO team so it's not like it's bad competition he is killing.

Miami picked up the top junior college tight end in the country last week in Beau Sandland, but the ‘Canes aren’t done trying to add offensive weapons from the JUCO ranks.

2013 Pierce C.C. WR Jaelen Strong (6’4”, 205) had an incredible season this year, as he racked up 67 catches for 1263 yards and 15 touchdowns. Strong recapped the team’s season and talked about his performance as well.

“The season went great, we went nine and two. I had one of my best years so it was a great season.”

Strong speaks with Miami Tight Ends coach Brennan Carroll and had high remarks about him.

“He is a definitely a nice guy. You can joke around with him and he is a cool guy. He has done a great job of recruiting me. He has been talking to me since before the season.”

Strong does have interest in Miami and happened to be a fan growing up.

“Miami has been a school that I have loved since I was young. I really didn’t expect to be talking to Miami right now. I also think they have a great future ahead of them.”

He wants to take a visit to Miami before he makes his decision.

“I do have an interest in taking a visit to Miami, I definitely want to take an official to Miami.”

While the JUCO receiver does currently live in California, he has no issue with the thought of playing in Miami.

“Distance won’t play a factor. I’m from Philadelphia and I went to a college out in California so it doesn’t matter.”

The JUCO receiver had the opportunity to play alongside Miami signee Beau Sandland.

“It was a one-of-a-kind experience. I probably will have another chance to play with him and maybe even in the NFL, but I know he is going to do great things at Miami.”

Strong wants to make his decision on signing day and knows what he wants when he picks a school.

“I just want somewhere where they can treat me like family. I need to know what type of offense they run whether it be pro or spread. Somewhere where I can play and I have to be comfortable with the coaching staff.”

The talented wide-out is also in contact with Texas Tech, Arizona State, Washington, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Am I off base by feeling really good about him based on this quote or am I reading too much into it?

Not at all. Carroll has been on him since October and him being from Philly, I would imagine Golden has known about em for quite some time. Doesn't hurt that we got his teammate Sandland. Also doesnt hurt that we have one of the best returning QB's in the country. It's basically us or ASU for em seeing as the SEC isn't in the running. Even if Tennessee was in the running, Tyler Bray just left. I think it's 60-40 us...at worst

I think if we really want him, we get him, and I think we really want him (regardless of Coley)

I really like this kid, he'd be an instant impact .

If we are taking a WR, it better be Coley.

The kid can give us 3 years, lets bring him in with Coley.

And I still think he would count against 2012 numbers, not 2013. So, we probably could take both, and not worry about the 2013 limits. That's what I keep saying about all these Jucos. As long as we have empty 2012 slots, we can take the Juco kids and backfill to the 2012 slots. I THINK. Please tell me if I'm wrong. That's why we might be able to take this kid and it wouldn't be a numbers problem of him or Coley.

If he can give us 1 year at the stats above, take him, kiss him goodbye and be happy.

We got a good group of young WR and 2014 will be excellent.
