JUCO Linebacker/Defensive End Devante Bond is a name that has recently burst onto the scene for Miami's recruiting class. He is having a great season and has made a living around the other team's quarterback.

“My season is going good right now. I have 14.5 sacks, 65 total tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, and 4 forced fumbles.”

Bond’s team is pushing for a playoff spot.

“Our team is five and four right now and we have the opportunity to make the playoffs so we are doing pretty good.”

Bond is playing at the JUCO level and has been in contact with many schools as of late.

“I talk to Fresno State, Utah State, UNLV, Kentucky and Miami a lot.”

While Bond holds five offers at the moment, he is still searching for three in particular

“I would like to have that Miami offer, I also would like the Oklahoma offer and Mississippi State offer as well.”

While Bond does not hold a Miami offer, he has been in constant contact with the staff.

“I have been talking with coach Franklin every week, and we just talk about things other than football.”

Bond has high remarks for Coach Franklin and has seem to have built a great relationship.

“I like Coach Franklin, he is a cool guy. We have a good relationship we can talk about anything even family.”

Bond has high interest in Miami and the way they play.

“I like the defense. I like the way they run and besides that I just like the school in general.”

Bond is planning a visit to Miami soon, but must wait until he finishes his season with his school.

“I was planning a visit for December 7th, but we might be in the playoffs then so I didn’t want to make the visit then have to cancel it, but I will be visiting Miami before I make my decision.”

Bond won't be making his decision soon though, stating that he wants to wait it out.

“I will probably be making my decision late, like most likely in February, around there.”

Bond does know what he is looking for when he picks his school.

“I need to feel comfortable with the coaching staff and academics plays a part in it. I need a place where I can play early and fit the defensive scheme.”

- Likes Miami ALOT and I mean that with serious emphasis.

-Doesn't hold a Miami offer at the moment despite Canesport reporting that he did.(LOL)

-Says he isn't going to enroll early

-Says he reminds himself of a Clay Matthews or Jarvis Jones.

Liked this kids video a lot, would love to give him a ship.

He isn't Clay Matthews or Jarvis ones, but from the video I saw he can bring some pass rush to a team that desperately needs one.

numbers are nuts but the offer sheet less than impressive, what gives?

So why doesn't he have an offer? Grades cause he is a JUCO?

Did post get merged? I asked a question in the other thread...

Anyway anyone has a legit height on this guy? I know he is listed as 6'2 but looks more 5'11, 6'0 on film but could be wrong.

I just remember that WR we got (Kayne) and he was listed as 6'2 and when he arrived on campus was more 5'10. mustve shrunk on flight here

yea I merged it. Doesn't look 6'2" to me ether. Elvis Dumervil type player maybe?

Sucks to hear he won't enroll early. We need immediate impact.

He'll still be able to make an impact next season. He just won't get the spring to learn the playbook.

as a plan C option I like 2013 4* S/LB Mike parker he is a legit 6'3" 200lbs or better, and he would early enrollee if UM wants.

Go Canes

doubt it on early entry for Parker. Supposedly his main issue is grades
