Cronkrite's not decommitting. What I can tell you is that UM has said since day one they are only taking 2 RBs and if/when Walton becomes official it will be on the staff to figure out who they let walk. I know what the staff has said about Cronkrite and how they feel about him but words and actions are 2 different things.
Can they turn down the shot at taking 3 top RB prospects?

If they were to take 3 Cronkrite would not be one of them.

if that's the case then

no way they should have to tell a kid who was committed long before Cronk even got an offer he has to go, because kid busted his *** to reclassify. If Walton reclassifies that is an unexpected surprise and the two backs that are committed now either deal or move on. It's not up to the staff to have to pick and choose. Honestly it's not like it makes a difference anyway, unless they think the staff was going to play seniority ball they would have to beat out Walton the next year for PT regardless.

What I can tell you is they will not let Walton walk because he is a pipeline kid so that could never be expected. The Walton thing isn't fully official yet as well so it's hard for the staff to make decisions as of yet.

For what its worth...I would rather have Cronk and Walton because Cronk bleeds Miami and I think he would be successful here. Also if he could help us with JJ and Irvin then that helps too. However, I'm praying that Walton for some reason doesn't reclassify (I know that sounds crazy but that way we could get all 3 and having Walton in our 16 class makes it even more dangerous.)

If Miami was planning to take two RBs in this class plus Walton in the next class, that adds up to three. Maybe Miami still takes the same three if Walton reclassifies. Walton and Cronk plus either Scarlett or Williams would be a great RB class.

If we had to pick, Scarlett or Williams?

Williams for his RB skills and Scarlett for his recruiting benefits.

Williams RB skills are not his best asset it's his speed which is elite. Watch his film he doesn't run between the tackles and doesn't have RB skills but he has elite speed. Think Percy Harvin and Scarlett is more of a traditional back who needs to work on being a part of the passing game cause as of now he is horrible at that.

Color me not optimistic when it comes to this Walton deal. Everything happened a little too fast and a little too easy. This kid completely just skipped a grade in one summer. I have a feeling something is gonna go down to prevent him from being in this 15' class. There is a reason why we are still recruiting Scarlett and I think its because they dont feel 100% confident that Walton reclassifies or they dont feel 100% that Williams stays. Scarlett is a bad man but he aint that good **** bad to kick Cronk to the curb and risk losing JJ and Irvin. JMO.

Who says it happened too fast?? It's been in the works for a long time and he's been trying to reclassify for a long time now. Not sure about this happening too fast.

You could be right. But something smells fishy. The original story was that it was because he failed kindergarten. Then it turned into him having to take two online classes in the summer and we were not led to believe that these classes were basket weaving and home economics either. Then all of a sudden, BOOM!, he is good to go and is re-classified? If it was that **** simple why didnt he do this 2-3 years ago? Sorry I just think this has "red-flagged" written all over it. I will be very happy to be wrong. But this goes back to my original statement that there is a reason we didnt stop recruiting Scarlett if we are only taking 2 RBs. (even if we were only taking 3)

(And to your point, if this was in the works for a long time, why wouldnt the staff just shut down RB recruiting once Cronk and Williams came on board knowing that Walton was virtually in the bag too? They had to have known he was that close, right?...)

I was counting general athleticism as part of the RB package.

SO. If Miami takes 3, Cronk won't be one of the 3 because of Miami or because of Cronk?

Another site said that Cronkrite is talking about decommitting from da U if Walton end up in the class of 2015. So, we could end up with just one RB if we don't land Scarlett.

No way Golden doesn't want Scarlett, Williams, Cronkite, and Walton if they all want to come here. After Duke we only have Yearby and Gus, but Scarlett, Walton, and Williams are all better than Gus. I think if Duke leaves early we very we'll could land all 4.

We are not at the point where we can just say no to the top players, regardless of what position they play. Personally I'd rather have these 4 and not get a running back next class.

Please quit the internet....

SO. If Miami takes 3, Cronk won't be one of the 3 because of Miami or because of Cronk?

Because of Cronkrtie

If he doesn't want to compete then he should of never committed. What if Duke decides to stay and we have him, yearby, Gus, tuck? He still would ride the bench for a 2 years min!

You don't know jordan if you think he doesn't want to or like to compete. If that was the case he would have never went to the high school he did. It's more about holding the staff to their word for him more than just a numbers game as well. There are some other factors but it's definitely not about competing

Frank Gore: "I could've gone somewhere else and started right as a freshman," Gore says. "But you look at the competition I had in Miami: Najeh (Davenport), (Clinton) Portis, (Willis) McGahee, Jarrett Payton. When you go up against the best of the best, you're ready for any type of competition."

Cali, the only point I don't agree with you on is not recruiting a RB in 2016. You never stop recruiting RBs (see Duke Johnson 2013)
