Are any of these guys explosive like Dalvin Cook? I'm still sad over losing that's guys homerun ability. I'd love to get any and all of these backs, but I'd love to get sombody who can take it all the way at any time from anywhere on the field.

I would take all 4 and see who's the last man standing come NSD you cant go wrong with none of them guys...

Dexter Williams is the best RB in Florida he can do it all.
Jacques Patrick is #2 BEAST.
Walton is #3 Good athlete, very elusive.
Scarlett #4 Good size, speed, prototype RB, but has poor vision & stiff hips, not a great receiver out of the backfield
Cronkrite #5 solid back, tough runner.

Yes he is, unless you blow through the line you won't get a clean shot on him.

watch him in person against great comp. he's not very elusive but he's a good back. Yearby is a very elusive back

I agree I wouldn't consider Walton an elusive RB

Agree, but I'm in "wait and see" mode with some of these guys. Cook flies, no doubt, reminds me a bit of Noel Divine, and I'd really love to have him in Coral Gables. But some might remember that the board was in total meltdown mode over losing James Wilder Jr. as a "can't miss" lock as a 5-star linebacker to FSU. He went on to a decent career as a big back, but no where near the way people talked about him becoming the next superstar LB. He was a physical specimen in HS and peaked early at the position.

Jordan Scarlett is a beast I would love to see him in a canes uniform regardless of who we have committed

Is he also committing on the 4th of July?

Love all these backs, but have to keep Cronk in the fold. HAVE to. Not only is he an underrated player (on this board anyway), but the JJ / Irvin angle is huge too.

Well according to Rivals Jaques Patrick just named FSU and Bama his leaders for a commitment.

So that could making things interesting for FSU in Scarlett's mind, since the growing consensus is that he now wants to go somewhere that has running game by committee system. An pairing with Karlos Williams, Dalvin cook, and Jaques Patrick could be almost to much to turn down even for hometown team Miami, unless we can show something special on the field this season. But lets see how this plays out, hopefully it ends well for UM.

Go Canes

he wants to go somewhere that has a rb by committee? really? i never heard a back actually say "i want to go somewhere where i split carries and has a rb by committee."

and doesn't UM have a similar situation? edwards, yearby? and walton and cronkite?

He really didn't mean that lol but people on 247 are predictions to FSU, but FSU has running backs higher on their board than Scarlett, (Johnny Frazier & Jacques Patrick). Miami already had 3 backs but they are still recruiting him. OSU is too far. I think he ends up at South Carolina or Miami they both want him the most it seems like.

I always thought Walton was an elusive RB also, but after watching His HLs...He's actually not. While Walton is good, Cronkrite & Williams are the best RBs in this class by a good bit. But in Walton's defense, I don't really think that scheme at BTW suits His strengths, I think He'd look different in a 1 or 2 TE Pro-Set.

Cronkrite isn't better than Walton.

All 3 are great. As well as Scarlett too.

It's like comparing apples and oranges. They all do different things. Different types of backs. Be grateful were in a good position with all of them.

I know Scarlett mentioned he was going to commit soon (if I remember correctly he said in the next few days). Does anyone have an idea of when he is actually going to announce? I know Bruce is announcing on the 4th of July but what about Scarlett?
