Dean reminds me alot of Burns...here is the NFL Draft evaluation of Burns and it's a few key points that can relate to what Dean's Pro/Con's are:

Premium athlete with long, angular build and preferred blend of size and speed. One of the top 60-meter hurdlers in college track and field. Wakes up every morning with natural ball skills to flip the field. Got hands on high number of targeted throws, including six interceptions this season despite playing in a cornerback rotation. Will bait quarterbacks into trap throws. Has soft hands and catch radius of a receiver when it is time to take the ball away. Possesses brash, ****y demeanor. Length and physicality from press can be extremely disruptive. Burst on the throw is NFL-worthy. When he’s dialed in, has talent to be impactful. Usually finishes when he makes contact as tackler. Tape isn't his best friend. Extremely raw and undisciplined. Leggy and grabby in routes. Flagged for four pass interference and two unsportsmanlike penalties. Upright in backpedal and plays with very little bend. High center of gravity prevents fluid change of direction. Coasts on athleticism and talent over proper technique. Turns motor off and on from game to game, and play can be lackadaisical. Would like to see him attack blockers rather than waiting for running back before disengaging. Tape is just average. Betting on the combine with him and he'll test off the charts. He's got the traits, but he's not ready yet.
.
They're slightly different. Dean is better with change of direction than Burns. Burns has some physical attributes Dean doesn't.

Dean faster and appears to have better coverage skills, less grabby than burns but burns on the other hand is more developed and and can play more physical

Dean is faster than and has better cover skills than the guy who just went in the first round. You really can't make this stuff up.

People on here just don't really know football. If we would've seen artie play in Diaz scheme this year he'd be a lock down corner. People don't seem to understand how hard it is to show your ball skills when you stay in zone with 15 yard cushions on **** near every snap.

Need this kid. I thought we were a long shot with this kid since he's a juco but bama board folks are saying he'll probably flip to us.
We should definitely be a long shot for a South Dade kid.

Dean potentially makes a bigger difference for us next year than any other recruit, including Donaldson. If he comes and performs, we at least have some flexibility with trying Redwine or Deejay Dallas at FS (still think he has Corner attributes).

Big f'in deal to close this guy. What do we have to do? Someone offer his parents better paying jobs, man. Let's get this sh*t together.

Offer him a 4 year supply of chimichangas!

Lol, we are amateurs at the stuff. We get the wannabes like Shapiro who are flashy and dumb.....the real players live in the shadows.

Maybe RICHT JUST SNT A VERY GOOD RECRUITER. Kirby Smart in his first year at UGA IS recruiting pretty much better than Richt ever did

May very well be correct...If you ask any Georgia fan besides offensive coordinator choices, Richt's down fall was letting too many top notch players leave georgia...Especially Deshaun Watson..... but our fans will continue to just bury their head in the sand..

Why are porsters acting like Golden didnt recruit well here? Richts star rating this year is pretty much exactly what Goldens was when he was here

My hope is Richt will be a better developer of talent and his scheme will work better for our players

From bama today
-- Four-star, junior college corner and Alabama commit Jhavonte Dean remains an Alabama commit, but it may not be for much longer. Alabama has been continuously evaluating the Blinn College (Texas) product, and may eventually choose to move in a different direction. Sources tell BOL that Miami, which has received the last eight Crystal Ball predictions, feels confident in its chances to reel in the South Florida native. Alabama fells good about their young defensive backs, commitments and targets, so this isn't a total surprise.

They are so full of ****. They want all elite dB's especiallyif he's a JUCO stud

From what I heard its that they want to go younger on their board. They like him, he came to one of their camps in offseason and they fell in love with him and offered.

So much pulling our way though(between hometown and pretty much all of his boys play or will play here) and the circumstances much better for him here. He can walk in here and start, not guaranteed anything at Bama considering 2 of their 3 corners will be back.(Chatter that Marlon might declare.)

He has two years to play. Juco guys want to play right away. He'll be behind the 8 ball at Bama too because he's no longer enrolling early.

Meh..I see what your saying but dude still went 1st round...and I know he went through a lot emotionally here but he had an enormous amount of penalties called against him.... HE came on a lot his junior year...he got toasted a lot early on in his career

If you are already questioning Richt and ignoring the momentum this program has been building the past couple months than I dont know what to tell you chief

You really should just go post on the FSU board. Now Golden recruited well?
