That highlights tape is very underwhelming.

What's underwhelming about it?

Doesn't like contact. Poor tackler. Isn't shutting guys down in coverage.

Basically he's clearly a very fluid, fast and tall athlete - but skills wise he doesn't wow me.
Not seeing what you're seeing on this one. I see good anticipation, break on the ball, above average turn and change of direction and plenty of catchup speed. Not sure what else you can ask for from the clips available. There's actually some practice footage on him I was going to breakdown, but haven't had the time. I think it's some of the more impressive Corner film I've seen in a couple years.

The only CB prospect whose attributes excite me as much as Dean's is Deejay Dallas.

Music to my ears.

Yeah the practice highlight showed a stud of a corner coverage wise

As I said he's clearly a very good athlete and an obvious take considering our situation. Most of the rest can be developed - can't teach him to enjoy hitting though.

The coaching staff believes Dean has three of the most important intangibles when it comes to being a successful cornerback: Speed, length and ball skills

Length and speed are tangibles. Intangibles are those things that you can't measure.

That's what coaches are for

If you like a corner that has excellent speed, length and great ball skills then watch his practice highlight tape on husk. Checks all the boxes in that aspect. He clearly can tackle other wise bama wouldn't have recruited him. Bama fans must think he is good because they have asked several times if he was flipping on their board and their mods say that miam's confidence is growing

I have been screaming for this guy for months. Sad the only reason we are getting a shot is because Bama stopped talking to him

I can't wait for the day when Miami can get blue chip recruits without other big schools not wanting them anymore.

DJ johnson says high, along with donaldson

**** only two guys? smh....

They aint blue chip recruit if big schools stop wanting them....

Duke, tracy, chad list goes on

Name another school that averages 7-8 wins a year for a decade that recruits at a high level. I'm waiting....

The recruits we get now....we can win the ACC. GT, UNC, Duke, VT have all played in it recently. Play in that game and show consistency, you start getting the special players to change games against top opponents nationally. One thing we have been lacking, is speed all over the field.

Nah. It's resources too.

If you're Bama and have great shot at the top 8 DBs every year, why spend a bunch of resources trying to keep #4 on your board?
Go after another player

They're stacked everywhere and have the luxury right now of not giving a **** if they miss on a half dozen.

Generally, I don't think Bama cooling on a kid showing strong interest elsewhere is a sign of anything more

This is one of the funniest posts on this board in quite some time.
