Former Miami Hurricane defensive back Jakobe Thomas was selected by the Minnesota Vikings yesterday night with the No. 98 pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Thomas was projected to come off the board a little bit later than people expected, but the Vikings see something in the former Hurricane.
Coming out of Miami, he racked up a total of 75 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and five interceptions. He also was one of the hardest hitters in the NFL Draft.
Prior to that, Thomas was a transfer from Tennessee, where he racked up a total of 22 tackles and one sack during his junior season.
The NFL Draft continues through Sunday at Acrisure Stadium.
