Former Miami Hurricanes defensive back Keionte Scott has been selected to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the No. 117 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Scott will now team back up with first round draft pick Rueben Bain Jr., as they both got selected to join the Buccaneers.

Scott wrapped up his career at Miami after transferring from Auburn. In his senior year, he was dealing with a minor injury, but he was still one of Miami’s top defenders. During his one season In Miami, he tallied 64 tackles, 2 interceptions, 5 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, and 5 sacks while playing in the secondary.

Scott is considered a steal in this year's NFL draft, as he went later than expected during the selection.

The San Diego, California product is the seventh Miami player to get selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Francis Mauigoa, Rueben Bain, Akheem Mesidor, Jakobe Thomas, Carson Beck, and Markel Bell all went before Scott.

JFC, well I guess when you live in state and can observe a good CF team on a Dailey, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, and not viewing them from ESPN highlights 3000 miles away, ya just get to make really good choices. Way to go Bucs, good luck Boys🙌🏽

Im finding less and less reasons to be a dolphins fan anymore.

I’m not a Fins fan but you Florida people who are fans are completely justified in switching your allegiance to the Bucs.
H*ll I have always hated the Cowboys but when Jimmy was the coach and half the team was former Canes, i was defintiely proud of their results.

they also have Alquadin Muhammad, Calijah Kancey (mnw) and Elijah Roberts....that defense is like the cowboys loaded with florida hs players and flcollege players.

Man I have hated the NFL for years because of the fins. I like most of the picks they made this year but their first round pick was insanely bad. His team performed like dog **** against the run and as a huge guard that's on him. Bains team was so dominant on defense in every phase and he was the main dude teams had to plan against. His ability to get low on Tackles is not human. These giant Tackles can't get that low. I dont think I have ever seen a guys game who will translate to the pros more than Bains. They cant double him like they did in college and you would think the FIns had to ask Jason Taylor what he thought about him and he would has told him what he told everyone else. He is a generational talent and hometown hero and the fins pass. F em. I am done with them (for now).
