Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff have been burning up the roads on the recruiting trail this offseason, extending offers out to many top upcoming prospects in the next coming years. This week, the Hurricanes reached out to a 2028 prospect that already has over 20 college offers.
On Monday afternoon, 2028 defensive lineman Antavion Allen out of (Hattiesburg, MS) announced on his Twitter page that he has received a scholarship to play for the Miami Hurricanes. Allen's offer list now includes: Miami, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, among many others.
Allen currently ranks as a four-star prospect. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive lineman is also ranked as the No. 16 defensive lineman in his class. Allen is one of many defensive linemen the Hurricanes coaching staff have reached out to. However, Allen put up some dominating numbers this past season, totaling 66 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 18 sacks, and one forced fumble. Allen also participates in track and field where he posted a 41-7 shot put rep and a 123-2 discus throw as a sophomore.
