Over the course of season agreed but top teams greenlight their QB in run game in those BIG games.. Dabo talked about that and how he certain games his QB is gonna run the ball..

That's not our offense but we would be fools ( mind you we saw gt) to not use cam in redzone atleast in those games that matter.. NFL teams do it also in redzone..
Including Mario w/ Herbert in the Rose. Teach Ward to avoid big hits and the fumbles will go down, also to take what's given and not do the Tecmo Bowl loopy loop.

My only worry about cam is him taking too many sacks, yes his oline was mid but the elites mask that. So if he wants to be a first rounder he gotta clean that up, along with the fumbling.

You’re correct. Backs pretty much got what was blocked, and nothing else. Hopefully Damien Martinez can help here, although explosion isn’t really his strong suit, and hopefully Chris Johnson in the open field gives us some highlights as well.

Check this out:

Here is where Miami ranks in explosive runs vs the rest of the country. One small caveat here, these are team runs, not necessarily by backs. So having a kid with Adidas made of cement behind center doesn’t help here, but this still tells a massive story.

20+ yard runs: 37th
30+ yard runs: 50th
40+ yard runs: 90th (2 the entire season)
Martinez is probably not going to set a combine record with his 40 time but the guy has great vision and breaks tackles. A 230lb guy with (6) 40 yard+ runs is doing something right. Usually big backs, even the best ones, have their ypc hurt by lots of short yardage carries but this dude was still getting 6 yards a carry. That means he’s maximizing his chances when he gets open lanes.

Dear friend, there is a reason teams play fast on purpose. It’s a huge advantage for the offense.
Play clock runs down to 1 sec, half back dive and sweeps and counters, gain 3 yds each play, move the chains in 4 plays, score TDs.

Opposing offense hardly sees the field. Miami's D is rested and bored.

THAT IS HOW TOUGH N FYZICAL BRO MEN WIN GAMES.

C Johnson's speed should help improve these numbers. Especially if D Martinez softens up the DBs during the game.

My data analysis similarly indicates this group will be better than when we had Gattis
If you see many things in life as a 2x2 matrix, Gattis was clearly an occupant of the worst box when looking at competence and pretentiousness -----incompetent yet arrogant.

This team should win the ACC and receive a playoff birth. No excuses for Mario.

I too think we should at least be in the ACCCG and get a playoff bid.

But I am perplexed by the "no excuses for Mario" comment. Do you think Coker, Radio, Fat AG, Manny or even Richt would have landed two back-to-back Top 10 classes plus the portal guys he's brought in to put us in a position to get to the playoffs this season? .

The "no excuses" comment makes Mario the reason for failure when the reason we are even having this discussion is he achieved what no one else has been able to achieve from a roster perspective in 2 decades. What should be slurpery is thus transformed into mopery.

I do expect the offense to be better this year. Hype aside as long as they take care of business, no dropped balls in crucial plays, fumbles, dumb sacks to missed assignments I think we can be pretty pretty pretty pretty good.

What good are all of those things if he can’t capitalize? It’s not slurping or moping. If he can’t win with this lineup which includes the best offense in two decades then all he is is a great OL coach and recruiter.
