K9 offensively this team on paper has way more talent than those teams.....

Defensively it isnt 03ish but depending on Willis' play could be ELITE.

On paper on offense it isnt as top heavy (yet) as the early Miami teams but I would argue we havent had this depth at WR ever.

Running back and TE are somewhat up in the air however that three headed monster discussed by the players has me thinking we should be scoring close to 30ish a game.

5 days! LSU will tell us all we need to know about both lines.

This is the biggest road game/neutral site we have a chance to win since the Peach Bowl vs UF which is the last time we managed a W.

God we are overdue.....

I agree, top to bottom this squad potentially(and that's a key word) has more talent across the board than those two squads I mentioned. We just need a guy, say Ahmonn Richards, to be that transcendent player who UM can rely on week to week. But again, can this Oline develop throughout the year and be a unit that can physically mash people late in games after this offense spreads things out early?

To me, that's the difference between a very good season to a special one

But overall as I see this roster, I get the same sense as I did in 1999/2000 that there is a plethora(big word alert!!!) of guys who will be NFL guys, and by that I mean players who will be drafted highly and have long productive careers. I really like this upcoming recruiting class as it gives Miami a real infusion of speed that was needed if you want to truly compete at the upper levels of college football

Lol what... This is the best competition he’s going to see aside from just a handful of other schools in country. You think Jordan is going to get out physicaled by some player at Duke??

Most of our schedule is The Coastal plus Savannah FIU and Toledo... I’m sure he will live.
If the Coastal et al are playing 4th and 5th year seniors on the Dline, potentially yes.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, far from it. I'm saying unless he's a freak of nature he's going to struggle to block grown men as an 18 year old.

@Stefan Adams Does Bar Milo live up to the work ethic that is demanded, just lacking talent, or is he just on cruise control enjoying the free education? That will determine how I feel about the guy.

You aren’t gonna get an answer unfortunately. I’m wondering the same thing.

This would be a good post, except Willis blew his knee out his senior year at Central

I was thinking more of his redshirt freshman year in '01. He got passed up in the rotation by a true freshman (Frank Gore) and ended the season playing fullback in the Rose Bowl.

This would be a good post, except Willis blew his knee out his senior year at Central and nobody expected a **** thing out of him early his career.

I'll be patient, but this lines up so far with what I saw on film from him last year, and that wasn't a 5-star back. Praying like **** he proves me and a any other skeptical observer wrong and blows up here. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least somewhat concerned that he's been here since January and is so far from the field he can't even see it.

That's only because he can't pass pro yet. He's never been asked to do it in his life. The kid will be fine. I still expect him to be a 1st round pick.

Not like the kid can't explode and rapidly develop, but pretty disappointed thus far in Lorenzo Lingard.
I guess the experts don't take pass pro and running style into account when awarding five stars. Then again, Kyle Wright was the #1HS QB in the nation (obviously, 5 stars) and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

Neither N'kosi nor Jarren W. will ever start a game here.

If they do, it's because Weldon is injured.

Since when is St. Louis not playing his natural position? He didn’t move to right tackle until he got to Miami, he played left tackle throughout highschool... Same with Donaldson he’s been a right tackle and was only at guard due to Miami wanting the best 5 in the game, you had 2 capable tackles and needed someone to play guard so you put Donaldson there. Plus freshman or not if they can play they can play period. Had Scaife been 6’5 or 6’6 coming out of highschool he might have ended up as a top 50 recruit given how dominant he was.

And I agree We do need to land those guys you mentioned.

They looked real natural out there.
