Russell is 6'1..if you think a center here will play at that size who's last name isnt Cristobal you got to be crazy.

He doesnt even play ol in hs and likely never snapped a ball, He would never be a center or an ol here. Do u see the size of guys Mario targets on the OL?.
Russell sat behind me at Louisville game and he looked much bigger than I expected .. some of those measurements are probably outdated..

How tall would you say he was? That matters more to me than 10-15 lbs

Lmao! Why?

And is he really only 6’1? I thought he was 6’2 and some change when I saw him earlier this year.

He is narrow up top, which means his ability to put on weight is limited.
Yea he's an edge rusher. I dont see it whenever someone says he's a DT in college just doesnt make sense to me

You have to get depth guys just in case you don’t land the big fish and maybe they turn into something, or u bring in more whales next class and its sorts itself out. Can’t burn bridges this way and Mario knows what he’s doing with roster management imo.

Your statement doesn’t make sense. Do you know how many DTs are 6'1-6'2? A lot. Even at the NFL level. Aaron Donald is 6'1". DTs play with leverage. OL and DEs play with reach.

Too many fans hung up on star ratings. Did you know that Russel was Dade County Defensive Player of the Year as a junior? By all accounts, he's having an even better senior year.

There is a spot on a roster for a guy like this, but it depends on his development. Its up to him to get as big as possible while maintaining the athleticism he needs to be effective. Guys like Russell are versatile in theory, but you've got to have some trump cards...have that lightening quick first step, impeccable technique or motor, freakish strength you can't explain. You also kind of just need to be a ******* baller at that size and you either have that or you don't.

Maybe he just becomes Malcolm Ray. That's a functional #4 type of iDL that gives you good snaps most of his career. Maybe he's more. Maybe he's less.
