I don’t see UM dropping this young man from our class. He maybe someone who transfers out in a few years but keeping relationships is important.
Dropping a committed player can hurt relationships
A player transferring means he was given an opportunity and it did not work out=no damage to any relationships.
I don’t think dropping Daylen Russell or telling him the truth will lead to Mario losing his status at Columbus lol.

And the truth is simply he’s low on the totem poll and probably won’t play for a few years here, at best.

Agreed

The Columbus HC and Mario as well as Mirabel (Mirabel coached under the current HC and worked at Marshall together) have a very good relationship and speak often. Whatever happens with Russell won't ruin that

I hate this logic. Maybe since we don't have a winning program this matters but it is a horrible mentality.

Guysm it’s the off-season, this is supposed to be when we’re in a good mood.

Let’s just step away from the vitriol and be good college football fans by over analyzing young men’s length (pause pause a million times pause)

Their measurables may be somewhat similar, but Kancey’s athleticism blows Russell’s away. He was in an entirely different stratosphere as an athlete.

Kancey also had plenty of advocates on this board who felt he was Miami caliber despite his rating.
I was one of his advocates. Apparently he underwhelmed the Staff at Paradise Camp. My point is, half the attacks on this board against Russell are based on his measurables, which is why I made the Kancey comparison.
