You guys don't understand recruiting do you. If Jobe was an average player, meh, let him walk.

But when it comes to elite players you have to play the game sometimes. Recruiting is trying to get the best players on your time, and it's a battle right now between Bama and Miami. I agree with you all I think it's pretty pathetic how Jobe has been playing this game the best two years. But still, you keep fighting. You don't just let elite players like him walk just because they are indecisive.

You can't walk away from Jobe no matter how much you want to because it will look like you are not willing to go toe-to-toe with Alabama. Perception becomes reality and we have to show everyone that we are going to fight for kids and not just cede them over to anyone.

Imagine this class:

S - Hall

CB/S - Jobe, Campbell, Surtain, Frierson

CB - Blades, Samuel, Ivey

We wouldn't have to take any DBs next year.

I mean, on paper that would have to be the best DB class ever

I’m not a college football coach or recruiter so my advice about how to handle this is based on zero experience, but nonetheless, we have a lot of options and need to solidify not just our class but IMO our brand.

I’d go up there and tell him, you’ve got an offer until early signing day if you don’t sign with us then you’re spot is going to someone else. I might even consider saying if you go on the OV to Bama we will consider pulling your offer and offering your spot to someone else.

A spot at UM has value and we don’t need to be walking around hat in hand any more.

^^^^
This. For heaven's sake, the guy is 20 years old, not a kid anymore. We are the []_[] and we won't beg anyone to come. Enough with all his games. Pull the **** scholly if he doesn't commit 12/20. Concentrate on those who value what being a CANE is!!!!

How many passes did Jobe give up this year against CT competition? As a 20 year old playing 16-17 year olds?

If it's more than 0 it wasn't as impressive as Asante.

Today is my bday and for my bday present I need these coaches to give zero f$cks about Jobe. Go full press, red carpet, white glove treatment, for Asante Jr.

Very good point.

I see 2 things:

1. This kid is at the absolute top of our board. We told Briggs to take a walk, that we dont play games anymore. There were several other examples besides Briggs. Even with the other studs as “plan B’s”, we are still going all in on Jobe. They must really love him.

2. Staff must think they still have a chance to flip him. It’s not quite putting all our eggs in one basket, but sending 3 coaches for a guy acting like a prima Donna doesn’t exactly send the best message to the rest of the guys on the board. We are basically telling Samuel and Surtain “we want Jobe more.” They must have a reason for being that confident.

LOL at us flipping a kid that's "committed" to us. Such is life on the trail. Even with the talent the lack of maturity is alarming to me. This kid is in for a rude awakening when he gets to college. Even if it's at the U he will need to grow up.

For some reason we always have a flaky *** recruit and Jobe is it this cycle, our visits will mean not a **** thing and he will sign with bama. He will say it was tough and it was hard but his mind is made up hes just trying to calm the whole **** down.

He prolly already got the bama commit video put together,.. Just waiting for the 11th he to drop it.
This class is already a great signing class. Is jobe worth the wait,.. Perhaps!! Is he worth the possibility of not landing him, and PS2, Samuel, and or ty?.....NOPE!!

So dumb, why even bother

Jobe is a hybrid safety.

Samuel is a pure cover corner.

How is this dumb?

u take both, the staff arent fans they have jobs they would take both there not retarded. Trying to explain things like this to people is like telling someone the world is round but they think its flat. One of the most hated comments from our fans that I hate the most is we will replace him with this guy........how bout we just get them both which is what elite teams do

You're arguing with the wrong guy.

That was exactly my point. Take both.

I was on ur side bruh

Secondly lol at the fans in this thread downplaying his skill now.......some said the same thing about juedy and he flashed at bama........i mean hebarely did anything but u saw the talent

Don't recall anyone downplaying Juedy's talent. General consensus was he was the best WR from SFLA.

Agreed 1000%. Bama may win this but we can't lay down even if we are moving on. The story will be that we gave up when they came in the picture.

Meh. This queen just wants to waste everyone's time.

Lol why do you people think you are mature at age 20? Nothing about your life is mature at age 20. Yeah you are more mature than you are when ur 17 but you still think your **** doesn’t stink at age 20.

Worst case scenario Jobe waits till February giving our staff hope that he sticks and then he leaves last minute and we miss out on Samuel Jr as well. Then what if for some reason Tyson doesn’t choose us we would’ve missed out on Tyson, Asante and Josh that would be brutal. We can’t let Jobe dictate us he’s definitely not somebody to trust.

Then you recruit the **** out of those guys too, and if they sign before Jobe you say, "Sorry ****. You took too long." I mean, I'm definitely not one who's down for all this kiddy drama, but I don't understand why it's only this or that? We probably got 100 guys or more on our board. I just don't see how spending time on this kid is something that's going to cripple our recruiting capability.

Kid's a top 50 talent, and he has a size/speed combo that nobody else on our board can match. You don't raise the white flag unless you know you can't win. I know many people on this board think this is a done deal, but respectfully, y'all pay absolutely no price for being wrong. I don't give a **** whose hat gets burned on NSD. You don't surrender to Satan and Baga until that (UM COMMITTED) next to his name is replaced with (ALABAMA SIGNED).

High priority croots for Bama and their fams get da dinner or lunch at Saben's house. Saben gonna show Jobe his home office/trophy room which I hears is epic and take him to da "commitment chairs" that look out over the lake behind his house. Dude gonna commit on da spot. Miami has a better chance getting Jobe to flip back to dem than they have of stopping Jobe from committing to Bama this weekend.

Gotta think this is a “come to Jesus” meeting. Can’t be fooling around and miss out on AS2 waiting on Jobe to make up his mind. This guy is 20 years old and still wants to play the recruiting game? That wouldn’t fly with me.

Jobe already made up his empty mind. Watch how quickly that cuck shuts it down after his Baga trip.

Kid seems like an emotional roller coaster. Smart on Richt to wait for the in home visit, seems like whoever gets in his ear has the best shot. I'd expect the commit to Bama this weekend, but if Richt can get to him last then Miami has a shot. The talk with Banda must have been some what encouraging if they are all going right back up there. If Banda felt like it was a done deal I don't think this next trip would be happening. Luckily the other high priority guys Asante, Campbell, Surtain aren't signing early....so we can play it out and if Jobe goes to bama then those kids know another spot is open. Considering all things....its a pretty good setup for Miami.

If you were an assassin like JOBE, would you rather learn the "Art of DB" from Master Saban or Kung Fu Panda?...yes, Panda.

Year 2, still not impressed with Panda, how the fudge did he get on his staff? His Mojitos skills must be the ****..

Oh I don't know........maybe cause he just coached a 2nd team AA/Thorpe award runner up. There's a start
