Cristobal hired as TE coach; Carroll now WR Coach

Just tweeted, according to his sources, former HC Mario Cristobal is awaiting decisions from OC Jedd Fisch, is expected today..

What Decision is he referring to.

Plus, now he has the opportunity to learn from a qualified head coach for the first time since he was at Rutgers.

That. It's just a title, no real power behind it. Whipple had the same title under Shannon, and Kehoe under Coker I believe.

I think it is safe to say he will be our highest paid position coach but will have additional responsibilities.

I agree with this as well.

I TOTALLY agree. This guy loves UM. I'll never forget that article on Scout where he talked about coming back to UM to help get the "Evil Empire" back on track. The man just understands who and what the University of Miami is. I'm excited as ****.

The only question with that is that, while I can't confirm, I've heard that he and Kehoe had some kind of previous conflict.

There was an innordinate amount of conflict among the coaching staff under Coker. Staff infighting under Moper than I can tell you would've never happened under Butch's watch. In the end, Coker was a horrific manager and I place most of the staff unrest on him.

Golden is a different cat. I think Golden, like Butch and other successful HCs in Miaim's history, runs a tight ship. I don't believe we're going to have the same problems we witnessed under L.C.
