I liked the smoke color uniform nike made. I hope Adidas makes a blkack?smioke color uniform along with the green, orange, white

Miami has gobs of money. They just dont want football to outshine Donna's vast achievements of being a pretty good school that no one takes seriously as an "academic stalwart"

New uniforms same crappy coached team.

I actually like the addidas football cleats i just saw for Miami.

one other big point I want to make.. Adidas is INVESTING in The U and trust me just like Nike with Oregon they are going to want wins and bowl wins and playoff appearances.. big money talks

I was thinking the same thing. Adidas isn't going to be happy spending huge money on a bottom feeder. The question is will they be able to apply pressure on UM to try to win some **** games? I hope so because this Gawd awful administration won't do it on its own.

Coach Kareem brown from miami just posted a pic saying #oregoneast

The more I read about this, the more it makes sense. Since when did Miami do what everyone else is doing? F*** that. If Adidas is gonna make us a priority, market us, and pay us top $ I am all for it.

By the way, I've always been a Nike/Jordan guy.. However, I 'm excited to see what Adidas does by spending more time on Miami. 80's style uniforms sound awesome too if true.

@mattyports: Blake James said Adidas deal gives UM significantly more money, teams get more apparel, and Adidas is marketing Miami hard. Win-win-win.

And what good is that money when the powers that be at UM don't use it to invest in the football program, i.e. firing Golden instead of throwing away next season as well as two recruiting classes, wasting half of Kaaya's career, and creating a massive rebuild for the next coach (whenever he arrives)?

More tone-deafness from Blake James and this administration. Disgraceful.

It really is strange. Presumably, Blake had some input and influence into making/approving the Adidas deal which sounds like a huge windfall for the University. On the other hand, he can't see clearly enough that the head coach of the football team is completely incompetent. Maybe he has been beating the drum to fire Al Golden behind the scenes and the money folks and the lawyers just won't let him do it.

This isn't meant to be a post defending Blake James.....these two issues just don't seem to make sense to me or fit together.

Some guys are just good at certain types of business. Maybe Blake can do stuff like this....it doesn't take that much evaluation and analysis.

He just doesn't have the same skill set when it comes to the football team.

It is so hard to get excited or even care about anything Miami football related.

I don't want to be Oregon or #oregoneast. I want to be Miami.

So a team with 6 national titles in the last 30'ish years wants to be one with 0 NC's all time..

Seems to me Oregon is the new Miami while Miami is the old Oregon.

Imagine how positive this fanbase would be if they'd fired Golden, hired Butch and then announced they'd signed a "Top 5 deal in college sports" with Adidas.

Instead nobody gives a **** because the cancer that is Golden is still here and the recruiting class is falling apart.
