Just saw an interview from 2/16 and Cook didn't even mention us when asked who's still recruiting him FWIW(UF, Alabama, UL, USC).

Maybe Golden realized what it takes to get him and just gave up on him? Maybe his coach who has been talking to Golden lately gave him a hint.

No ND or UGA?

Weren't they supposed to be our biggest competition for Sony?

This may affect it for the worse. They really are not too fond of playing with one another and trust me I know!

I've had multiple people tell me the same thing.

So they are both good at lying? LOL

You have hearsay and direct quotes. The choice is yours!

Of course they could be lying but who knows?

Direct quotes from recruits don't mean **** in the recruiting games these days though.

Reading, try it.

Lets get an interview with Yearby PETE

Something I've learned is that lying is very common in interviews.

So is fake insiderism.

Nothing fake about Pete. He's the guy actually on the phone with coaches, teammates, parents, barbers and the kids themselves. Everything he puts out is the result of his hard work.

Nobody is ever right all the time and no one should pretend to be, but Peter earned the respect he gets.

Why did Cook commit to Clemson so early? How were they on him so quick? What connection does he have to Clemson?

Some Central HS insiders had something disturbing to say about the situation. I don't know if it is still available to read or was removed. It is posted in one of the threads on Rivals.

Give me Sony. Cook is stud but I want Sony. Never thought we had a chance at landing both Central kids but now that Yearby has flipped Sony should priority #1. Still recruit Cook though and if he still wants in then you cant say no.

Cook seems destined to have one of those weird recruitments. Kid is a phenom but nothing feels right about it, at least right now.

Personally, I think the kid is going to stick with Clemson. I think a lot of these kids know who "our" reporters are, and tell them what they want to hear.

Get a Top 30 Overall prospect at Running back to switch from FSU to Miami and what do we do?

Complain about the guy who won't be coming now smdh

Yep, only Miami fans could complain about getting Scouts #4 rated RB, Rivals #5, Rivals #30 overall.

Oh and we flip him from our hated rival.

I mentioned this in another thread that if this was two years ago, this site would have shutdown from all the hysteria. YEARBY was the one who ran things in Dade as a sophomore rushing for over 2,000 yards. (Unheard of for a sophomore in Dade, BTW) Sony was injured the whole year and Cook hadn't burst on the scene yet. It was Duke and Yearby who ran the show and people were up in arms when he committed to FSU so early. Now I will admit that I wanted Cook/Sony over Yearby as it stands today but I will HAPPILY accept his commitment.

Not dissing the kid just speaking in general about reporting.

If you report the source and the direct quote, then you will never be wrong. The source and the direct quote (assuming you are being truthful) tell the reader what was actually said and who said the statement.

Even if the person who made the statement lied , all the reporter reported is a direct quote and who made the statement. That is honest reporting, just the person who made the statement is untruthful.

ex: Player X says "I love Miami" but in reality he really hates it. As long as the reporter states Player X said "I love Miami," then they did nothing wrong even though the kid really hates Miami.

I know people can't reveal their sources always but just report the direct quotes and let the reader believe it if they want (after they hear source).

Ill take yearby and Michel over yearby and cook
