I’d take Parrish. I love his tape and think he’s a late bloomer physically. Keep it in Dade with RB whenever possible.

All that being said. I can’t overemphasize enough how huge Chaney is to UM.
It shows these guys have faith in Enos and the new offense. I can’t Fing wait to beat UF.

Chaney has a college ready body right now. I see him playing comfortably when he gets here at 210.
Burns probably going to transfer.
Also anyone else think for 2021 A. Daniels is a better prospect? I think he is.

Not to be a downer, but this happens every time we get a new staff. We get some buzz and a slew of junior commits usually follows.

If we want these guys to stick (and not all of them will) we need to WIN.

Would you rather they fall flat on their face from the jump?

I bailed on recruiting last year but I would love to see 6 players in the state of Florida that are better than this kid.

Hopefully it was Brown more than DJ. The huge problem I have is how the guy added weight and started being cute. He ran out of bounds on several plays when he only had a DB in him along the sidelines. Homer crushed people in those situations. Cam was doing the same. This isn’t the NFL and he’s not Laveon Bell. The fumbling didn’t help his cause either. Everyone watching saw the extra juice Cam gave the team when they started feeding him the ball. It’s time we have a RB that doesn’t get caught from behind and that’s Lo and Cam. There’s a place for DJ but not leading the team with carries.
No offense to James Jackson. He was a very good UM back just like DJ...but starting DJ over Cam and Lo is like starting Jackson over Edge. It’s based on nothing but seniority.
Hes a former QB playing rb full time for the first time. Finishing runs will come to him later on than others. Im just saying with how hard of a worker he is its hard for me to see him just lay down and loose his job/.

Know what else I love about his highlights?

His vision.

His big runs are basically all in traffic.

You see these “stud” RBs and WRs that dust people because they have tons of space. It doesn’t work like that in college.

This kid is housing huge runs while playing in a phone booth.

If the Ol makes some nice improvement and the passing offense takes some guys out of the box these Rbs will do very well and it won’t matter if it’s Dallas, Davis or Lo

Its not like that either. There are definitely players who are better than him if we are being honest. Right now he is RB#2 in Florida but I think he will end up RB3 with Knighton passing him

Yeah I’m not saying you’re wrong just saying ****, I gotta get caught back up if a kid like this isn’t being looked at like the top player in the state.

It's cause he plays in the Wing-T.
Wing-T is a phone booth offense.

I always question a running backs vision when he plays in the Wing-T and if/how it will translate to a different offense.
Running Buck Sweep is nothing like running Inside Zone. I saw it with Lingard last spring, in practice. He had no clue how to find the "backdoor" on zone running plays.

Here are two lock solid predictions re: Chaney:

  1. He will NOT play any recruiting games, decommit, waver, ask for time to reconsider ,etc;
  2. He will earn his degree from UM. If that takes 4 years, he will stay here 4 years. If its 3, its 3. If its 5, then 5.
To any of the non- Belen Jesuit posters, ask a Belen alum about this kid. The back story of how he even got to Belen is movie worthy. His Dad coached vs Belen and was so impressed with the discipline he saw that he pledged that his then young son( 6-7 years old) would go there if he passed the entrance exam.

The kid has EARNED everything hes gotten and he's repelled NUMEROUS " recruiting pitches" and "offers" to transfer, including one from another prominent Catholic local school.

His father has instilled in this young man a work ethic, an " earn it" mentality rather than an entitled mentality. He is a throw back person, not to mention football player.
i´m glad that St Brendan made a hard pitch for him . . .

Yall really sleeping on Dallas though. He's a swiss army knife. And there's been times where he's the only offensive player who showed up.

Let's hope he takes the next step this offseason as it pertains to S&C.

Love his game, though.
