Chaney needs to be thr ambassador and I want guys like Gore, Duke, Edge Clinton, Walton etc telling him who he is and what he'll be here. He's destined for greatness snd belongs here...... Oh and don't bring up Bowman and **** his school

Keep stacking the talent, that's what I say.

I disagree with Stefan about Dallas starting and possibly going pro. I just don't see Dallas starting over Lo and Cam in a new offense. It was clear to me that Cam was more explosive and natural as a runner. He was the best RB on the roster late in the season. Lo just has too much potential not to give him snaps. Dallas should be used as a 3rd down back and with a wildcat wrinkle here and there. Cam and Lo should be the main guys.
Agreed. I think Dallas will start game 1 but he won’t get as many carries as the season goes on. I think he will also be smart and stay his senior year because he loves it here and knows he has a lot of work to do if he wants to be an nfl rb.

Also, if Dallas stays and Miami takes two backs for 2020, you might see Burns move to FB or transfer.

This was an excellent and important commit. Chaney is the real deal

His tape reminds me of Sony Michel. Finally our redemption! Lol

Will he shut it down like Lo or will this be a battle?

Here are two lock solid predictions re: Chaney:

  1. He will NOT play any recruiting games, decommit, waver, ask for time to reconsider ,etc;
  2. He will earn his degree from UM. If that takes 4 years, he will stay here 4 years. If its 3, its 3. If its 5, then 5.
To any of the non- Belen Jesuit posters, ask a Belen alum about this kid. The back story of how he even got to Belen is movie worthy. His Dad coached vs Belen and was so impressed with the discipline he saw that he pledged that his then young son( 6-7 years old) would go there if he passed the entrance exam.

The kid has EARNED everything hes gotten and he's repelled NUMEROUS " recruiting pitches" and "offers" to transfer, including one from another prominent Catholic local school.

His father has instilled in this young man a work ethic, an " earn it" mentality rather than an entitled mentality. He is a throw back person, not to mention football player.

You continually under estimate DJ's ability. He will start. The NFL loves this type of back (Run, Catch, Block, Return Kicks). DJ has a lot of "junk in the Trunk."

Good to hear. I remember hearing Columbus made a hard run at trying to get him to transfer.

Forget about Bowman please like dont even step foot on that school ever again and just forget about them.. Go after Knighton and if he does end up at Clemson it will be relatively early giving us time to get Murphy or Parrish which are very good backup plans.

Give me Murphy at RB and Parrish at Slot and call it a day. Look for one more Alpha WR and **** down the RB and WR positions.

His uncle just stated he will be an EE too so that’s huge for us. Especially if DJ leaves for the draft. That RB room will be stacked again. Guys we are slowly getting back to “waiting your turn” talent in that position group. Now Barry go get me some lineman to block for these dudes and we’re in there.

Agree on everything.

Frankie Baby consistently put up 200-300 yrd games against the best competition in the country. When everybody and they momma knew he was getting the ball lol. Any comparison to FG is unfair lol. Especially since his high school game immediately transitioned to cfb.

Wtbs. The 🙌🏿 Welcomes you.

love how this kid runs between the tackles in most of his highlights most highschool backs are constantly bouncing everything outside and winning with speed and athleticism while chaney seems well groomed to run between the tackles which is more effective at the college level.

Hopefully it was Brown more than DJ. The huge problem I have is how the guy added weight and started being cute. He ran out of bounds on several plays when he only had a DB in him along the sidelines. Homer crushed people in those situations. Cam was doing the same. This isn’t the NFL and he’s not Laveon Bell. The fumbling didn’t help his cause either. Everyone watching saw the extra juice Cam gave the team when they started feeding him the ball. It’s time we have a RB that doesn’t get caught from behind and that’s Lo and Cam. There’s a place for DJ but not leading the team with carries.
No offense to James Jackson. He was a very good UM back just like DJ...but starting DJ over Cam and Lo is like starting Jackson over Edge. It’s based on nothing but seniority.
