Minchey must be Brucie from Longest Yard bad as a passer because that's who they wanted to start. Carr is a statue.

This reminds me of 2017 when they had Wimbush and Book. One ran and one passed better.

This time they are starting the passer instead of the runner.

Carr doesnt fit what Dembrock wants...

Another bet placed on the Canes bigly!!!!
I watched the little spring highlight clip. Every throw was to his left down the sideline except a little flat play for a TD on a short rollout and a pass over the middle that was behind a wide open receiver.

I am sure he’s got more in his bag but I’d be looking at making the looks down the left sideline difficult or disguise those coverages and bait him into throwing those lobs up to his TE down the sideline. Since that seems to be where he was comfortable in spring.

It does.
Does this matter in a significant manner?

Not being a dyck, I have no idea on either of their options.
It does. Minchey and Love would be tough. Good news is Minchey couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn.

Let’s say they like his accuracy in camp.

Okay, they think that by opening up the passing game it frees up running lanes for Love. That’s my guess. My assumption is that they were going to start Carr all along but have been floating Minchey as a trial balloon/ head fake.

We would hope that Cristobal and Heatherman haven’t fallen for this crap and have prepared for both guys.

not sure what's to fall for ... we got **** near two weeks to prepare

Let's take into account that all we have are scripted plays from a very vanilla playbook on both sides. Neither ND nor Miami have shown their cards prior to game one so we don't know what tf to expect for either team lol

Just puts even more emphasis on stopping the run and Jeremiyah Love. Carr has yet to attempt a pass at the college level. If our defense is totally revamped, this is a great test. This is very winnable game that we need absolutely must win.

Actually I've heard the contrary. ND was waiting for Carr to take job it just took longer than they wanted.
