Johnson can be a special player. He runs like a running back with feet and balance. He is not just a track guy. I thought cornerback off junior clips, but he was a dominant runner as a senior.

The key for him will be building up his body. He is already tough for his size.
Is he in the Jeff Demps mold? I hate comparing to anyone on UF but trying to get a sense of how he can be used with that speed.

Yeah... I was talking about the kid that ran the 9.83 100m (Issam Asinga). That's why I asked, could he be the next Bolt? Johnson is really fast in his own right. But 9.83 from a high schooler is just insane.

That's faster than Bolt ran at that age. Wind adjusted, it's a 9.93. He's gone or going pro for sure, skipping college.

Gliding style of running with the lightning feet and ability to be at top speed in a hiccup are Kamaraesque to me. Would love to see him pack on about 10 pounds of muscle and see what we’ve got.

Yeah that’s “special” time. Probably skipping college altogether.

He is commited to run at Texas A&M I just read.

He also is tied for the indoor 60m record (6.57) and holds the indoor 200m at (20.48) record.

Him and Knighton are the heirs apparent at 100 and 200 respectively. Knighton was significantly faster at the same age in the 200, but turned pro at 16.

Kids got a future.

At 17 years old Erriyon Knighton ran a 19.84 and at 18 years old he ran world record 19.69 for 18 year olds. 18 years and 148 days old. He also ran a 19.49 a few months before that was not a ratified time. Not sure why, it was at a official meet.

Erriyon was running pro and not allowed to compete in high school . At age 16 in January, Knighton signed a sponsorship deal with Adidas in his junior year of high school, forgoing his remaining two years of amateur competition at Hillsborough High. Asinga is another great young runner.

These Florida kids are fast like Tryvon Bromell ran a wind aided 9.77 at 19 years old. He was the Olympic gold favorite last year and just did not show up. Hopefully Erriyon and Asinga show up for the next Olympics. Long history of Florida sprinters back to Bob Hayes, Houston McTear, Justin Gatlin, Jeff Demps, Walter Dix, Marvin Bracy, Most of these sprinters trained year round just for track. McTear was such a natural and was averaging 14 yards a carry in football.

Chris Johnson Jr is very fast and a part time track guy and just matched his personal best again at 10.45 and knocked off almost a tenth of his best 200 at 20.66 Ran a 10.48 a few weeks back. American Heritage has got some serous sprinters on their track team. A couple of 10.4 freshmen. No idea if they play any football. State meet is two weeks away in Jacksonville at the University of North Florida.

I hope. It is today. Been looking and only see yesterdays results for 2A finals yesterday and 1A the day before. Looks like some sprinters have broke their best times in the 100 meter in the 2A. hopefully a really great track and weather. https://florida.tfrrs.org/results_search.html Check it out. Chris is the fastest qualifier based on the region and district times for 3A that is going on today.
