He is on pace to hit his numbers like last year and do something imppressive at states.. He hit 10.4 at states first time last year he is rarely challenged and doesnt have to push it.. Hope he goes all out and go for 10.1 or better..

We should honestly, hope that he can be as great as the running back with the same name.
The hope with a guy like this, is you run the ball in a game 25 times he gets about 10 carries ne of those is a 60 yards or more touchdown and that's just a simple Inside zone cause he just outruns everyooonnnnnne.
He won't be able to weigh more then 205 and even then, I would imagine they do not want it affecting he's speed.
He won't hit 10.1 or lower, he'd have to focus solely on track that's another and fine tune his body to accommodate that, but my goodness that is crazy fast.

Yeah... I was talking about the kid that ran the 9.83 100m (Issam Asinga). That's why I asked, could he be the next Bolt? Johnson is really fast in his own right. But 9.83 from a high schooler is just insane.

Yeah, I'm okay with running CJ on an inside zone in a spread, not much after the LOS to stop him. But CJ on a wheel route or a screen better be a staple of our offense. ****, send him straight out of the backfield sometimes. Defenders have to respect that speed.
At this point his coach said he has eyes set on making national team for world championships.. I guess they have a set schedule and states doesnt fit.. I would have to find the exact quotes, I read it few days ago..

Elite I would say I don't know track at all

Not even close to generational. Multiple football players this class and last that ran faster times. Still, it is elite and speed we have had here in almost a decade.

He's Elite....but since when is "Merely" used in the same sentence as "Elite"....if "Elite" happens to be your bottom of the barrel, then I'd say things are pretty F-ing good.
Comparing speeds is tricky. A generational hundred or 200 m runner would have to give up football to become a generational runner and train accordingly and exclusively for track.
Johnson can be a special player. He runs like a running back with feet and balance. He is not just a track guy. I thought cornerback off junior clips, but he was a dominant runner as a senior.
The key for him will be building up his body. He is already tough for his size.
