Biggest loss was Isaih Horton. He was on track to being our #1 next season imo. That stung
Honestly 1for1 I don't even think Colbie Young is all that much of a difference to Horton.... Guess i'd say Horton has more potential to grow into more, but like what he actually did last year, Colbie definitely could probably have provided without much if any difference/issue

23 Young: 47 catches, 563 yards, 5 Tds, 12 y/c ... in conference play + SEC game: 36 catches, 396 yards, 3 Tds, 11.0 y/c
24 Horton: 56 catches, 616 yards, 5 Tds, 11 y/c ... in conference play+ SEC game: 41 catches, 408 yards, 4 Tds, 9.95 y/c

And I mean there is no question who had the better QB...

Pickell knows more ball than Pate. By a long shot.

Pate has more sources
I’m not disputing that. But if you watch his show there is some major swag jacking going on imo. He shouldn’t be playing the sources game. Hes better at analysis

We should have paid Horton. Idiotic to let him go. We were never going to get "WR 1" through the portal. WR 1 don't enter the portal.
This is still so wild we let him go the number he was asking for couldn’t have been that bad

As long as he can catch, he is going to eat out of the slot in this offense. Dawson’s offense is designed for the slot to go for over 1k, it has happened the past 4 seasons for Tank Dell and X. Keelan Marion, is dynamic with the ball in his hand (pause) evident by him being an All American returner.

That game breaking ability and the way Dawson schemes the slot open, could be a combination for a break out year for this guy.

I think this guy ups our ST play. We’ve had drought there longer than the rains hit the Kalahari…

Did I miss something about him definitely playing slot here?

Sorry if already asked in this thread, but does this mean we're out of the running for Pena from Syracuse?

We have CJ as our leader, it seems Jojo is going to be our #2 guy. The cincy kid and this kid are experienced, but look pretty fast.
They just have to be solid enough until toney and/or moore get it going.
With WR's I dont know. I was told Rambo would stink and Osborn was from buffalo and they turned out good.

In two years under Dawson and two very different quarterbacks, two 3 star UDFA WRs produced 2,300 and 1,600 yards combined respectively

Colbie Young’s production was immediately replaced by Hortons

Two years isn’t a huge sample size but stands to reason the receivers will put up stats, just hope it’s in the big games

This is the key point. Lashlee's offense always stumbled against top competition. Dawson's doesn't look to have the same ceiling. But he will still need dudes to win their battles in the big games.
