Not sure if these ships have sailed and not sure they would even want to come to the U, but our coaching staff needs to circle back with a few of these 2024 QBs. A talented QB could literally come in here and start next year and that needs to be the pitch. I hope they are at least still backchanneling with Norland and Lagway.

@WanderFranco will be here to discuss Oregon and Washington momentarily hold on.

Since you dragged me back into a battle that you already lost....

The correlation (you can look that up) between winning percentage and penalty yards per game is -.046. This means there is zero correlation between penalties and losing. In fact, it leans slightly in the other direction.

What's the correlation to discipline?

By the way, there is one very obvious correlation to fewest penalty yards.

I’m convinced a lot of people on this board don’t actually watch college football outside of Miami.

It’s the only explanation as to why so many seem to have so little idea about what the other teams are doing.
They don’t. If they did they would realize just how terrible of a job Mario has done here in year 2 compared to other programs. These posters are stuck in 2007 and still think it takes 5 years to not lose to games we should win.

Does anything about Pistobal give you confidence we overcome those errors in the future? If so, blink if you need help.
You take tvd out of the equation and give us a confident qb maybe. We looked stronger in nearly all areas even with tvd absolute sh*tting the bed. The improved oline play gives me hope at least

Actually, it’s the opposite. I barely watch our games. But I watch games all day and all night on Saturdays. Every team out there has issues. And, except for about three of them by the end of the year, everybody loses games they “should” win.

Talent gap closed isn't a sign of progress:

2021 we were favored and we came out flat and then came back to have a let-down against FSU. Manny's only loss.

2022 Mario gets murdered 45-3. Did FSU close the talent gap or the coaching gap?

2023 Mario looses again but it was close. Great, Golden did that as well.

This talent gap thing is nonsense. Good coaches win with loser players. Every championship coach over the last 40 years hasn't needed time to get more talent before they started producing strong winning seasons.

Mario has already missed the mark on #of wins in the first two years on what every other championship coach the last 40 years. Most of them didn't have the portal. None had stacked classes.
Shut up with this stupid ****!!! We had a freshman QB against a 6-year QB who has 2 future NFL WRs. We lost by 7 and you're trying to blame the HC and compare him to Manny?

The team is better. The culture is getting where it needs to be. We had 16 turnovers in a month and you are comparing wins and losses to the previous regime. Anyone with half a brain knows we are at least 8-2 with average QB play the last month. We are 9-1 and maybe 10-0 with plus QB play.

I don't want to hear anything about Diaz. The trajectory of the program under Manny and Mario are polar opposites. You figure out which.
