Great video. He was at the drills yesterday. My kind of player

Did they give you an idea where an offer stands for you? And is Rivals correct that currently you hold a Cuse offer?

They didn't say. I do have An offer to syracuse

Thank you I really appreciate that. I love to blitz

I can tell you really like those Arrow (A gap) blitzes. Just make sure you keep working on your Block shedding because when you get to that next level you won't be able to get by solely with speed, You do have nice acceleration off the snap though.
Enjoy you Senior Season and Recruitment, it only happens once.

Thanks for the advice! I have been working on getting off blocks. Last year I had kids diving at my knees all year expecting even more this year. I am trying to enjoy the process it's pretty stressful at times

He was great he was at all the drills and took me aside for a while and worked with me one on one. Gave me a tour of the building and new fields. Gave me some things to work on. But overall he seemed like a great guy.

Welcome to Miami! God Bless!

I imagine it's very stressful. I mean I wasn't a D1 athlete when I played, but I had a list of dream schools that I wanted to go to, topped by USC (southern Cal) and Miami. Luckily I got in to Miami. It's stressful because it's a big decision, but no matter where you go, you're going to meet a lot of people you like, there's going to be a lot of hot girls, and you're going to get a good education, as well as be able to play football....You'll just get more so at Miami, lol.

that field looks gorgeous

They ****ed up the color of the face mask tho. White cage not gray.

The new helmets have gray face masks which will take some getting used to.

Go Canes

Wish the green helmets woulda made the final cut, just my opinion tho.

I'm pretty sure the Green Helmets are going to be used next year. I think I heard that somewhere.
But, yeah, I think the all grey's will lookbetter if we have orange sleeves with the orange helmet or green sleeves with the green helmet. (as opposed to grey undershirts if they wear one)
The orange jerseys would probably look sick with green pants and helmet.
I really like these Uniforms. they're nice and simple too.

**** impressive film Shy. Regardless of whether a UM offer comes (I personally believe it will after seeing your film), take pride in knowing that you're one of the top football players and athletes in the country.

Also another plus in my eyes is that you're a top high school athlete, and I can actually read and understand your posts! Huge achievement there...good luck kid. Respect.

Thank you I appreciate that. I love the game. He said when I was running in a couple drills I do them more like a running back than a line backer. I play both ways and could see what he was saying. I want to play line backer in college so I will spend some time this summer in the park fixing my weight shift during a couple drills.

Coach Barrow wants to see you play like this! Good luck this summer.

Hi everyone just wanted to come on and thank you all for the kind words you gave to Shy. I am Shy's step dad John Brewer. Saw some of you guys talking about these camps being a waste and would like to let you know I believe they are great. Shy is a great player suffering from the biggest problem a high school player can face...he plays in Massachusetts. I had been emailing Coach Barrow for months asking him to look at Shy and he said he liked the film but wanted to see him at a camp. Mass kids are largely ignored as is evident by all the recruiting sites not even rating Shy (dont get me started on that). Unless the high school coach has some contacts up here these kids are never heard of...the big schools think the US boarder ends at New Jersey. I may be just a parent so take my words with a grain of salt but ill put shy against any of those kids the rating sites are calling 4 stars maybe even some of the 5. If you watched the highlights you can see Shy is a play maker. He loves to hit and is a good technical player. I believe the right coach can send him places he can only dream of. I laugh at the comment of understanding what Shy was saying... Mass schools are a blessing and a curse all at the same time.Shy has always dreamed of being a Hurricane I think he relates to the old school bad boy style of play and is a big fan of current Cane Perryman's physical punishing style...watch for his senior year to be a more punishing style. He has been getting double and triple teamed all this past season and if you saw his game film above the highlights you could see the sack total for his fellow line backers and d ends is high I believe because of the attention payed to Shy. He does need to get off blocks quicker and we have been working on that all this year... no more engaging players just hit em and go. Keep in mind Shy is only 16 and will graduate at 17. His picture doesnt do his size justice... on the field Sunday the current Canes linebackers and running backs all talked to him...I should have taken pictures but was kinda far away for my Ihpone. But I just wanted to come on and thank you guys for the kind words you gave Shy it meant alot to him. He would love to be a Hurricane but offer or not thank you

Good stuff Pops. Keep him straight.

Thank you. He is a great kid keeps out of trouble...makes it easy on us

SHY keep up the awesome work, right now Cuse has a steal in you and i know they hope you dont get discovered. You are clearly above the talent up there and will be really good in college. you remind me of Kevin Peirre Louis who played for BC and drafted in 4th round by Seattle Seahawks. I played with top linebacker in the nation in high school back in 2006 and you have a lot of his abilities. keep that hunger and focused.

I really hope you become a Miami Hurricane. if you can study Kevin Pierre Louis and try to take from his game.

that is funny you say that. We went for a visit with BC and the coaches said he was the same size and build as KPL...at 4 years younger than KPL. They took him in and showed us film of KPL and said we want you to come here and do exactly what we have KPL doing. Oh and they wear the same number... they also gave Shy number 24 at the Al Golden camp not sure if that was on purpose but Shy was saying its a sign I belong here

Shy...don't just settle for being a 2 way player, remember, there's 8 units on a football team:

KO return,KO coverage, punt return, punt coverage,offense,defense,FG/extra point,FG/XPA block...don't know if you play special teams, but if you do, put that on your Hudl HLs also. IMO, a TRUE football player can play at least 6 outta 8 units. But all in all, your HLs look good, you look like you have a good motor...and the fact you're only 16 shows you have high ceiling. Where ever you end up, I'm sure you'll be an asset to that community,University, and that football team...GOOD LUCK!
