Always amusing to see commit vs. decommit takes.

Good luck to Muex.
It isn't really a big deal and I understand that access and scoops means you need to play ball with the staff and toe the company line a bit. But I do wish sometimes everyone could just be honest...

"This guy is a depth piece with some upside, Miami is going to hunt for something better and they may catch and release down the road"

That would be way more interesting and beneficial for readers then pretending he is a diamond in the rough that only Miami evaluated appropriately.

That's not going to happen.

CIS articles and podcasts are filled with homerism and not real honest info. Every recruit/player on the roster is an all american.

David Lake is about the only one that'll occasionally criticize recruiting targets. For example, he said Chris Wheatley-Humphrey was not the caliber of RB Miami should be signing. Time will tell if he was right or not, but at least he didn't suck off every player that signed in 2024.

Wish him the best, but this is pretty obvious as other OL recruits have emerged recently

We will see if “pushed out” is the real thing if he’s replaced with someone higher rated; could also he he started maybe pushing for more NIL money than they had earmarked for him and told him good luck

Either way this was a project and not a headlining recruit
Could be similarly rated played but higher graded senior season on tape By the staff. We got one very highly rated player already in Alofaituli who is a top 5 interior OL prospect this class, and maybe better than his rating. I'd expect us to go for 1-2 very highly rated Olineman per year, if we get them we get them, if we don't we don't. But the majority of takes will be high 3star/low 4star types with great traits and good tape that they can see developing 2 years down the road. Long-term plan for Oline, and fill in immediate needs with a portal guy here and there or 1 truly elite talent every once in a while.

Obviously if like Muex is out and Carroll commits, thats a major upgrade. But say we were still on Guards Kaden Strayhorn or Cortez Smith hard and got one of them to flip.... All good. And obviously we're still after Soloman Thomas. maybe we are still after Owen Strebig at OT too...

You know you really don’t get enough credit on CIS for what you bring. Please don’t change and don’t stop.
When I first met @flagator86 here on cis, I was like what the heck is a gator doing in here, but nah he’s a real cool dude, never disrespectful, and keeps it real
