So basically a high upside project-type player the coaches were willing to work to develop unless something better came along. Given the rest of his offer list I'm sure Muex understood that to be the situation all along as well

We will see if “pushed out” is the real thing if he’s replaced with someone higher rated; could also he he started maybe pushing for more NIL money than they had earmarked for him and told him good luck

Either way this was a project and not a headlining recruit

I had such trouble pronouncing his last name, I can rest easy now.

Takaylen Muex, a three-star offensive line prospect out of Jacksonville, FL, has decommitted from Miami.

The 6-5, 315-pound Meux will reopen his recruitment amid interest from UCF and others. He previously committed to the Hurricanes on May 16, choosing UM over offers from UCF, Louisville, Troy, Charlotte and among others.

He is the fourth decommitment of the 2025 cycle for the Hurricanes, as three-star linebacker Elijah Melendez, three-star offensive tackle Lamar Williams, and three-star wide receiver Walden Charles.

“Move, get out the way get out the way”! And so the class purge continues.
