Beggars can't be choosers...

I hope to God we can get Rakestraw, he's the best CB left.

Colson could be a solid player in a few years, but he won't be ready to play this season & we're extremely slim on depth. We need CB's that can play in case of emergency this season.

Don't have a problem with the take due to circumstances, just wish we would've got some more natural game ready Corners in this class, instead loading up on projects that will have to be taught the position at the College level while we simultaneously have a dire depth situation. You can take two projects when there's more depth ahead of them, we're one injury away from playing kids that probably aren't physically ready & haven't played much CB in HS.

Whatev's though, Diaz making his bed he gon have to lay in it come December 2020.

Nope, heard this before. Not falling for the banana in the tailpipe again

Ok, that’s cool. I wasn’t really trying to convince you or anything, just stating my opinion.

We need bodies at this point so I’m good with it.

Yup...Rumph made this bed by missing on 9 out of 10 locals for 3 straight years. And people will still point to the fact our pass defense is ranked well (against a weak slate of passing offenses) and that Rumph helped Colbert get into the 7th round of the draft as a reason he shouldn't be fired. It's so frustrating.

Does not have good long speed according to his official track times. Best 100m is 11.74 in the two years he participated in HS track. I see where Bama offered Ennis Rakestraw a corner we were interested in who is taller and bigger and has posted times in the upper 22s at 200m in only two track meets he ran in this past season.

Has some skill set but looks small and slow. Constantly getting chased down from behind when playing RB
On his HS relay team this past season the team posted times in the mid 45s in the 4 x 100. He did not run in an open 100m but the other three guys did and they were in the 11.5 to 11.7 range. As a junior posted a best of 11.74 at 100m. His long speed is not there and he is not that large.

I saw where Ivins posted he was offered by Bama today.

He is not fast for the league he will be playing in. 11.74 in the 100m is slow. Two guys about the same size when the came out of HS - Bandy was almost 11.0 flat and Couch was a 10.85 at the same time.

With no legitimate Nike or Opening 40 times you have to use the track times and they are not impressive at all for someone that size. That speed is not good for a 230 pound LB. Kids will list all kinds of times on that HUDL fil.

Another tricky thing about Colson is he grew up in the middle of nowhere. His HS team was very good, but at a super small school level. While there are many decent athletes in his area, it's not like SoFl or even Lowndes county where you grow up competing against the best of the best. Hoping as some have said, this kid has a good upside. Jobs should be on the line this year. Not sure Colson will be able to contribute until year 2-3 anyway. We need more corners game ready

This kid is a take all day. Probably the best corner film of anyone we've taken since Bandy. That's not saying a whole lot but point is he is a take for sure at this point.

Most years I'd say yes...But I don't see any this year?

Who in Sofla this year can run like Colson?

I would have taken 1 of Delancey or Hodges for sure....And I'm not defending Rumph, it's a joke the way this guy can't land a Sofla corner to save his life. But I don't see any Sofla corners with this kid's skill set. Delancey can't run like him (I think Delancey is more polished)...But the kids that can run and are explosive like him are like 5'8 (Stanley, St.Louis)...I wouldn't mind if they pursued Pough, but does he have this kid's athleticism? I believe this kid's running 10something right? Maybe Thornton from BTW? He looks a tad stiff compared to Colson...JMO.

There were some big corners this year, and there was Francois who I think is a stud at possibly a couple positions...But as far as explosive athlete at the positon...You are talking 5'8 kids this year in Sofla.

f*ck running..Delancey is way better than this kid and wasnt a priority all recruiting class for 1.

Nigel Bethel could run.... we need guys that can play....and play right away....not sure if this kid can. We are about to have a cb group with 3 cbs under 180 pounds as well...in a scheme that requires tacklers. We'll see how it goes...he looks locked in...and GA needs to be a place we poach

We desperately need 25 that can qualify. I’ll take him 👍💪

Feeley should be able to get his weight and speed improved quickly but putting this kid on the field so soon is criminal, especially if Lashlee can legitimately get this offense going.
