2014 QB White would listen to Miami

Hate to bring it up, but Doug Flutie begs to differ. A winner is a winner. Doesn't care about anything but winning. Never stops trying to win no matter what the score is until the clock ticks to zero. Doesn't matter if his team is loaded with all-americans or not. You play with what you got and play to each players' strengths. I want a quarterback that will do anything to win. Never stops trying to figure out a way to win. That's what I look for in a quarterback.

Sounds like you just described Quinton Flowers

This is exacly why you take Winky. He can be a QB but we already have Olsen and Eduard. If we end up needing another QB he's already on the roster. If not
you may just have the next Anquan Bolden on your team. Not to mention a local legend to help you close out the class. Tell Winky he'll have every shot to compete at QB and he'll quickly realize he's better off at WR or Safety.

Ive been reading these posts and I had to make an account just to comment. ALIN EDOUARD CANNOT BE OUR ONLY QB. We need a guy like White. According to the Miami Herald, he led all of broward and dade in yards and TDs, and threw a lot less than his counterparts. He took his team last year (Chaminade) to a 9-2 record and he was the only D1 player on the offense. Alin has great potential, but has not produced on the field at all. These two would be polar opposites, and would be perfect to compete against each other. Also plays/played with Khairi Clark, Richard Yeargin, and Quincy Wilson. So Gatar Hatar theres your other recruits too. I say we offer and our QB situation will be good for the future. Check his highlight

We "need" DT's and Big DE's that can transition to DT. We need to over recruit at DT for the next couple years in hopes that some will develop into all americans. Its good we're getting on all these offensive players early and I believe we've turned the corner on being the school of choice in South Fl. But the recruiting wars have to be won for the guys in the trenches. Until then we're still a C++ in recruiting.

You want us to sign 25 DTs? Smh. Also, with all the bull**** we've dealt with we got a top ten class and a top 12 class this year. The staff has made their fair share of mistakes but they deserve more credit than a C+ that's just disrespectful to the staff.

LMAO at this kid being compared to Dorsey as a bad thing

We have been searching for a Ken Dorsey as long as we have been searching for a QB. Its only been over a decade since we have a Dorsey

For you Alin Edouard lovers, check out the NFTC Notebook.

"The Quarterbacks
Sean White (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./University School) took home MVP honors once again. He did a year ago as well. He has good size and a strong and accurate arm. He was clearly the top signal caller there. Miami commitment Alin Edouard (Hialeah, Fla.) did some nice things. He has a good arm that can get stronger. Edouard just needs to continue to work on the little things and develop his game."

I like him as a QB candidate, I would wait and see what happens with some of the elites like Cornwell, but would have no problem taking this kid.

But not big upside either hes like a Ken Dorsey type which when we are back to being great i will take but now not so much

Yeah, Ken Dorsey types are horrible.

Ken Dorsey types need all-americans littered around him. We need those too

Right.... Griffin, Coley, Doubard, Yearby and Elder
Yup And that list could still get bigger and better...;)

I know we're loaded on offense but with the defense the way we are we cant reach our biggest potential without a higher ceiling qb thats all

When Dorsey came on in relief of Kenny Kelly his freshman year he was surrounded by a lot of future all-americans, which I think we have on this team, but there is a big difference. Dorsey still made plays and flashed his leadership and talent at a whopping 180 lbs.

The thing I like about White is that his eyes are always down the field.

I was so excited to see this thread and really hope White gets an offer. He seems to have that rare ability to feel pressure coming and slide around the pocket to buy time, rather than throwing it away or tucking it and running. That's a dedication to quarterbacking that I'm not sure can be coached up, it's just an instinct. On a team soon to be super stacked with elite playmakers, this type of QB is the best bet to maximize all that potential. PLEASE OFFER!!!

I swear it's like people have never seen Ken Dorsey's ******* high school highlights. They are ridiculous.

Been arguing with Miami message board fans about this subject for a while. Sean White is the best QB in Broward County followed by Wade Freebeck and neither one of these kids have gotten a Miami sniff. We'd rather recruit projects like Edouard. Baffles me.

White looks like a good QB. Strong and smart. My only concern is he has played against very weak competition. Every year Chaminade plays bad JV type teams and gets big numbers and stats. As soon as they get against competion like University they get spanked. White is going to U School this year and they have upped thier competion big time for 2014. Lets see how that plays out fo White. I expect he will step up to the higher level as he seems to have what it takes to play that level.

Don't know why White would necessarily be considered a "low ceiling" guy, though I understand what that may mean. It may mean he's like an Andy Dalton. To me, despite a lack of flash, those are very valuable guys.

Particularly when there aren't any other QBs on the roster who seem like "we may not an NC with this guy, but we can win 10 games with this guy" types. That said, I like Kaaya better.

The staff should be in better contact with him. Tell him hey want to see his Senior year before they decide. But at least keep the communication going. Not sold at all on Eduard, who apparently isn't sold on us either, and after that who knows. Plenty of time but now is as good as any to start making connections with kids.

I like this kid, hope we get in better contact with him, and his game carries over to the new season.
