Pete, is it one guy or the majority of the decision makers that are against Butch?

The UNC thing is crazy if you look at the facts.

Butch has two issues against him. There are still hard feelings about his lying to the school, and the UNC fiasco is really bad. UNC may well get destroyed by the NCAA in the near future, and its nearly impossible to believe that he did not know and condone. There is a reason he hasnt even received an offer in years.

p.s. Dont shoot the messenger, I like Butch, just not getting my hopes up for something that is not going to happen.

You're not a messenger. You're a guy regurgitating the same **** every other dope has said about Davis. There's been 10 separate investigations, and Davis has been cleared in all 10.

Does Roy Williams still have a job? Yes? Then shut up about Butch, UNC and the NCAA.

Understood... but leaking Doc Holiday, the original bagman, as an ethical candidate? BOT going full Steve Jobs reality distortion field

That said, UM apparently had the money to do it and will have the money to offer its next coach upwards of $4 million a season, the donor said.

Butch Davis is interested in becoming UM's next coach, but is UM really interested in him? | Eye on the U

So let me get this straight - Miami finally recognizes it has to pony up the cash to obtain a quality coach, yet Chud and Mario are the guys that are "in the mix."

Fck that. It's been beaten to death, but there are a million different coaches that have the exact same resume Chud does. Just cause he played at UM doesn't make him a good coach. He had one disastrous year in Cleveland and his offense in Indy is struggling with a shltload of talent.

Completely underwhelming. And for as underwhelming as Chud is, Mario is that much worse.

Butch Davis and Tom Herman should be 1a and 1b, end of story.

That list doesn't have, what should be, the top 3 candidates.

I see no Hue Jackson
I see no Tom Herman
I see no Fuente
For the love of God I'd take Jim Tressel before some of the retreads on that list

If it's anyone on that list other than Butch **** is going to get ugly.

Yup.

AG is gone 48, no 24, hours and you are ready to storm the gates with torches and fly banners. Butch has baggage whether you like it or not.

I vote give it some time and let it settle out. Listening to College Sports Radio on Sirius this afternoon there were all sorts of intriguing names. Also, of note, the commentator (Althos Radio) said AG tried many times to get out of Miami and was chasing an SEC job that he didnt get...fwiw

This is gonna be a fluid situation

We're petrified of the stupidity and incompetence that is the decision making of our administration.

This is officially hold your breath time. They're as likely to hire a Butch/Herman type as they are to randomly call up Joe Philbin and offer it to him without an interview.

Butch is the only answer on that list.... Mark Stoops is okay but FSU grew tired of his philosophy so im skeptical.

It really makes no sense, til you think about it and realize that its the same Admin that hired uncle fester, thenn Radio and then the diabetes gut…….

If Butch gets the gig Eddie Gran is very likely to be the OC.

Killer recruiter and is doing a very nice job in Cincinatti.
