Stop shoving this kid down our throats!! He's just an undersized overachiever, that's ranked where he should be.. To try and compare him to Cam Ward's 2.0 is laughable, doesn't even come close to his ankles. He just gives all of the national highly rated WR's another excuse not come here. Please, let me know which of our highest rated WR's on our board can he definitely convince to come here to play with him after this performance?

Pardon me for asking, but maybe someone can help refresh my memory. I watched Malik Bryant play against Dr. Phillips in 2022. Was Coleman playing that game?

i agree the hype training is rolling ... but you can't deny his stats and accolades ... you can't ignore that under sized qbs have had great success in college football ... you can't ignore we're creating elite offensive lines ... also, this was the elite 11 bro ... only 20 qbs in the country were invited and he was one ... he may not net an elite wr this cycle, but that could change quickly if he plays well whenever his opportunity to starts comes

I didn’t watch the elite 11 and I don’t even know if it was televised, but I would just like to know for those on here who saw it, did Coleman look good? Have they made their elite 11 selection and was he part of the elite 11 or was he left out?

One event shouldn’t do anything to diminish dc, we have to wait for his sr season to really start criticizing him

How to do a double take I thought that was Moe standing behind him
So can someone please answer my question on how Coleman did at the elite 11? Because someone posted stats, but Coleman said that those weren’t his stats and he didn’t have any interceptions and it looks like those stats were for another quarterback. So did Coleman have a good week at the elite 11 or not? And did he make the elite 11 quarterbacks or not?

Again, this is a joke. Not even saying Coleman actually will be the second coming of Cam Ward or anything but most of the commentary reads like they haven't actually watched him play outside of a camp or Elite 11 setting. It's lazy, and more and more I believe these "experts" don't know what to look for when evaluating QBs. They couldn't even post the correct stats. Sounds like they evaluate the 7v7 comparatively which is pretty nonsensical. Unless each QB is running the exact same plays in order with identical receivers and defenders/coverages, what are we talking about? "Layering throws with touch?" A self admission that they haven't watched him play. Verbatim to Bud Elliot's talking point on Cover 3, discussing Coleman. Plenty of layered throws in his Sophomore film, Junior, film, and this past 7v7 season. They'll drop him just because.

Haven't found full footage of the event. Would be difficult to say either way. He was mentioned by some as having a good day 1. Some of the QBs have film out from entire portions of the event, Coleman isn't one. Zoomed in footage of a QB just throwing footballs is not an effective way to evaluate. That being said, I don't believe he made the final 11.

I've seen Bell twice on tv…I'm not a QB expert.

And obviously he's impressing someone, but it's really a surprise to me he is a 5* rated QB and must get QB prospect. But obviously he's doing his thing at the event.

How in the world can rankings be taken seriously in a 7 on 7 format?

This is the equivalent of playing a game of HORSE to decide who is the better shooter. Completely laughable to have rankings outside of game situations since nothing a QB does outside of a game situation actually counts. The only value I can see at camps and 7 on 7 events are basic measurables.
Right. The value is to the people who make money via these events.

malachi toney was better than bell last year

I thought this would be tailored for his talents. Some of their judges don't know what they are looking for and they know it. In saying that, I believe our fanbase has him overrated. I think he will fit our O well. Let's see if Dawson is still here. One thing I know, we aren't starting 4 or 5 new OL without starts next year and playing a 165 lbs TR FR QB behind that. Dia Bell should be fine with Sark. We shall see.
