Whether you give Flake credit or not, he was still on the team that built the IPF.

I'm not a Cincy fan; I'm a jets fan [loyalty]. But kids critisize Marvin Lewis very unfairly - when he made them into at least a consistent playoff threat. And that's with Pittsburgh & Baltimore already established as powerhouses in the division / they both have two super bowl championship rings. & Marvin Lewis at least under his coaching made them a tougher match up then the browns were this past year. And that's after every tmz arm chair dude said the browns are a super bowl champion this year [not even a wild card team] because a person gets paid for water cooler talk on tv.

No bad team is going to bet good any time soon as long as there are owners like the jaguars; say. The ceo funded a brand new wrestling company / after not even considering giving Jalen Ramsey an extra penny beyond his 'rookie Draft contract'. And no one takes that for anything when fans were saying he sucks at his job, when he was hands down at least a all-pro shut down corner/back.

As long as these stupid rich dudes are the owners - certain fans are always going to be whiney little ' tards.. That's why they need so many different scouts then scouts for different regions of the states.

After Ted Thompson was fired it was super interesting to watch the internal three-headed race for next GM of the Packers between Wolf (the boy-wonder, son of Ron Wolf, NFL Hall of Famer as a GM; Eliot cut his teeth as a scout), Russ Ball (the business savvy option) and Gutekunst (another personnel guy; who got the job).

The Packers realized they couldn’t keep Wolf if they didn’t hire him for the GM spot because he was so popular throughout the league but ultimately felt Gutekunst was the best option. They gave Ball a promotion following so they could retain him.

I apologize for the long background but I don’t think Wolf would be a qualified AD, he’s a talent guy at the end of the day. Overseeing a football program? Sure, I absolutely think that “Chief of Football Staff” title would be a good fit for a guy like him.

All of that being said, I imagine his interest is something like that is hovering right around 0%. He’s a rising star in NFL circles, Dorsey and his reputations will not be tarnished by the Browns’ debacle. The Haslam’s are really ******* things up for that franchise after making what I believed a savvy move in bringing in Dorsey, Wolf and Zo. Hiring Kitchens (super green) proved a bad move because of the lack of experience and indecisiveness amongst other things but Dorsey will get another shot somewhere soon and Wolf will be an NFL GM in short time as well.

Wolf looks like he may be retained at Cleveland anyways. That may mean he keeps Zo with him. Looks like they worked in tandem.
 
This debate will solve itself when Highsmith takes his next job. The marketplace will tell us his value.

And I always get a laugh by the "we just need a good coach" comment. That's like saying golf is easy, its just distance and accuracy.

I think the dude is great for Miami, just not sold on his evaluating skills based off his NFL track record to say he is the end all, be all with the program. Could he help? Without a doubt, but people keep saying he is some Jedi style evaluator. I dont see that. He would bring his persona and attitude which would help more along with a name that So Fla would know and respect.

I didn't follow his tenure in GB all that closely, so I just googled it. I'm not so sure he was fired, let-go, whatever you want to call it... he appears to have chose to go to GB after some upper management shakeups, and that GB had interest in retaining him.

Regardless, he has been an NFL scout/evaluator for many years and keeps getting promoted. We are using Manny and a support staff filled of God knows who, who constantly miss on talent we could've had. I'm not talking about losing guys to Bama, I am talking about the Zack Moss type guys, for example.

In Zo I trust. No one will change my mind on that. CFB is a business, and UM should treat its football program as such. Be on the cutting edge of hiring a GM of football at the collegiate level, and have it run by someone that's been in senior management positions in the league for a decade. I can't believe anyone would be opposed to this.

Brother I don't disagree. He knows more than anyone at Miami currently, no question. I just want to pump brakes on talent evala.

He would kill it in the community, with local coaches and dads. Finding coaches that can come in and recruit these SoFla cats. He would be the most welcomed addition to Miami since Butch IMO

In my opinion, yes.

Main Reason - he wants to be here and is invested in the program. What good is a lottery pick like Eli Manning when he refuses to play for the team that drafted him? Zo would be here for the long run and be a stabilizing presence that this program desperately needs.

I dream of having Danny White replace BJ and still plugging Zo in to lead the charge for the football program. All in on the resurrection. When I win powerball ima make it happen.
