Anyone have a summary of the One3 RPM/Crystal ball?
CaneSport has entered a 70% prediction into the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Patterson in favor of Miami, who has heavily targeted the No. 78 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. His trip to Coral Gables marked his fifth unofficial visit to Miami, three more than the program he’s visited the second-most (
Auburn).
Miami is starting to feel like home.
Patterson told
CaneSport after his March 23 visit
Miami “feels like home,” that he’s never felt uncomfortable in Coral Gables and that Miami is somewhere he could see himself playing. His Miami visit came roughly three weeks after he told CaneSport Miami was
“in the lead as much as being in my top five,” although he won’t announce his commitment before fall at the earliest.
His relationship with Miami defensive coordinator
Lance Guidry is continuing to improve, and he said he’s staying in touch with current Miami freshmen
Mark Fletcher and
Ray Ray Joseph, who played at local rival schools. The duo is pushing him to follow a trend of keeping south Florida talent home, which he’s not opposed to.
The Canes solidified their position on his radar with last week’s visit, which Miami’s staff knocked out of the park by all means. The new defensive staff, particularly Guidry, impressed Patterson with the level of energy and intensity in practice.
Patterson has taken unofficial visits to
Florida State and
Ohio State already in 2023 but already said he “definitely” plans on taking an official visit to
Coral Gables this summer.
Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M and
Penn State are other programs he is considering. He said there may be a few schools sneaking into that group of schools but did not elaborate.
