Zach Turner - I honestly don't know what to make of this one. I think it's going to come down to how strongly Miami comes back and shows their NIL teeth, so to speak. There was talk of the Sooners being a 'free trip' before the weekend but that never added up to me with Emmett Jones and his relationship at Duncanville. I had been thinking that an early decision would be good for Oklahoma but with his announcement that he would be making a decision on July 12, this could turn into a real hotly contested battle.

UPDATE: 7:02p - I'm told that I may need to revisit my thoughts on Zach Turner - he gave several visitors the impression of a new perfect visit.

"You could tell he was just taking it all in," a source said.

I was also told the Sooners may have a pair of allies in his parents. This is trending well for Oklahoma but, again, Miami won't just walk away.

Hate doing this, but he should be rated much higher. He is a top 200 prospect, especially if he is truly 6’2+ 220+ like reported. I truly think he could survive at WR and still put up numbers. You don’t do what he does at Duncanville at that size and be a borderline 3* prospect. JMO.

I'm telling u bro, it's because these dudes think they're NFL scouts now.

If you're a tweener in any way, you're just jettisoned to the back of the line unless the production and camp performances powder their hands and smack you across the face. Did ANYONE who played with or against Elija Lofton in HS think there were 270 better players than him in America? **** no. But what EXACTLY is he? Ehh, we're not sure, so rank him 275th but make sure the kid who is 6'7 and 225 is the #1 TE in the country.

Which one is going to be the better college football player? That's what HS recruiting ranks should be, and always were, until it turned into a **** measuring contest with respects to the NFL draft.
