If you want an offensive lineman, the Midwest is a pretty safe spot to shop. Miami went to the well with C Zach Carpenter, an Indiana transfer (and Michigan signee) who originally hails from Cincinatti, OH. Carpenter spoke to reporters about the transition and spring practice:

Just my opinion but center is still a very undervalued position both in college and pro. You see all the tackles get the big $$$ - but the C touches the ball on every offensive play. Like @JHallCanes said - big shoes to fill with Lee. We got really lucky to have him (Lee). Always need a good snapper!
 
I listened to the interview. It was a nice one liner. But the reporter pushed him into manufacturing it. Kept asking how he was different from Lee and how he could be such a nice, quiet guy off field and still be a fighter on the field. Kid is reallllly mellow.
